I just read a thread where someone was stuck trying to find something for their maid of honour and it made me think that actualy maybe someone could be wise enough to help me. I dont have a maid of honour i have a man of honour. He is one of my best friends in the world and very gay. I am totally stuck as to what to get him as the gifts for male wedding party members just seem a bit to errrr manly for him, but obviously really girly wouldnt do the job either. I dont want to get anything drink related as his boyfriend is always on at him about the amount he drinks and its a bit of a sore subject. I thought about a zippo lighter getting engraved, but am not too sure. I also had planned to do a survival kit, i can find best man, bridemaid, mothers etc ones, but not sure what to put in for him, obviously doing it myself means i am not totally limited, i have room to manouver, but am after ideas really and i know there are a few other brides on here who have somewhat "alternative" wedding parties.

Yes I have a man of honour who is also gay and my best friend in the whole world. Also have 2 male (gay) bridesmaids as well as 3 girl bridesmaids. Be aware (as I have found) my planning has received many catty comments from my (gay) friends - although I still love them and it has been sorted! I'm stuck on ideas too! Think we may need to keep in touch on this one. All ideas welcome! xx

Pidge (my husband) will be his mates Chief Bridesmaid when she gets married. Who cares about gender?
As for survival kit... ear plugs???

I think it's great that you're having Men Of Honor's, who says all the bridal party should be female?! As for a gift, I honestly can't think of anything! As you say, 'Best Man' and usher gifts are obviously masculine... hope you find something. x

Ok, here is a strange one, and i asked this to my brother who is gay what he would like for being the usher and he said a shopping spree, just an idea xxx

what about getting him the perfect pamper night in, a romantic or musical film (his favorite) a face pack, some moisturiser, toner and cleanser, bubble bath, candles and a bottle of bubbly. I know it's typically a female gift, but places like body shop and boots do some fabulous man face creams, I always get h2b some expensive man moisturiser as his face gets sore after shaving, he actually uses it now (although he shaves less, damn comfy stage of relationship).
I'm now a married woman
I have a gorgeous husband
Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do
