went and booked our honeymoon today. 2 weeks all inclusive at the 4* Kuredu Island Resort in a beach bungalow. I totally cant wait!!!

go in and haggle with the travel agents. We looked on travel supermarket and seen a deal for £3100 but was with a company called Dream Ticket (whomever they are). So we went to 4 different travel agents and told them what price we got. The best price was a bit more than that with Thomas Cook but we thought sod it, would rather book with them than a company we have never heard of. But they will all try to better each others prices, so well worth going into the shops.

Omg Enjoy it, my mate from work got married in september and went to maldives for two weeks she said it was heaven and is now saving to go back because it was soo nice there but she did tell me they spoke to everyone when they arrived having a bit of a lecture of dos and donts saying they couldnt have s*x on the beach or go topless coz it was against the law lol x

ooo we are on a similar budget to you - quite tempted to book mine now but will have to wait till this summer as I get 6% discount with Virgin Holidays so gonna look then when they have June/July 2012 available on their website

We want to go to the Maldives for our honeymoon in September, but we're looking for somewhere we can do some diving as well as a touch of luxury (Four Star realistically). Two weeks away! Still researching. I agree that booking through a company you trust makes lots of sense. I've looked up Turquoise Holidays, but suspect the prices would be out of our league. Waiting on online response to enquiry. Hayes & Jarvis seem to have a range of mid to top end locations. I sat down at Trailfinders in Exeter and they were quite helpful, so great to speak to a person, but still haven't decided anything! Currently favouring Reethi Beach and Filitheyo. Though if I had unlimited funds... One&Only and Six Senses are the places I dream of, but cannot afford..... sigh!

really, im surprised about that. when i was looking at using them we could go thailand afor about 3k for both of us. but in the end we have chosen egypt. do you remember who emailed you back?

We went to Thomas Cook a while ago and they said to steer clear of the maldives in august time when we are getting married as its their raining season, went in thomson yesterday and they said you may get a bit of rain in eve for hour or so and thats it. The chap was really helpful and it sounds amazing so we are hoping to go in to town next week and see what the prices will be like :) x

we had been thinking about the maldives, but thought the same as you were originally told kate-b that it was the rainy season and not that nice, so we are thinking of having our honeymoon a few months after the wedding in october / november time. Depending on when i can get my boys looked after

our summer is there winter....and vice versa.

Same we are staying on Kuramathi Island I am so excited!! Our travel agent through in a free sea plan trip which i just couldnt believe!! Only 3 months now

We are only there for 4 nights as are also going around Sri Lanka before hand which made the holdiay slightly cheaper, though can foresee that we are going to be spending alot of time travelling!!
