    Evening ladies,
I've finally decided on making all my own stationary and was wondering what size of card I should use for makeing my table names. I've not made a decision on what I'm having but I know I'm definitely not having numbers. I hope this hasn't been spoken about before, I did search the topics but could only find topics on actual table names. xxx

I'm not having table names on the basis that if we did h2b would want Newcastle United players names on them which doesn't quite fit in with the vintage tea party theme, lol. Not having numbers either, should i be doing that? There will only be around 5 tables aside from the top table and as it is a laid back affair i wasn't going to bother with table names or numbers as that would then require a table planner and i really can't be bothered, lol. I have dove place cards that will slot onto the glasses and they can hunt for their seat, won't take them long. Oooh i have doubts now, lol. xx

We are going to collect cake stands to put our sandwiches and cakes on, and with my tea favours that would look great, you have talked me round very easily, lol. x

as for the questio, i think it depends on how big you want the display to be! 8 tables of 14 would make an enormous display!

I dont want numbers either. for the fact as u girls say upsetting family members but also i think it seems a little cold just have table 1, 2, 3 ect. we are between my h2b choice of naming them fish lol not my choice he is a keen fisherman. or my idea which sounds really daft but is personal and call them street names. long story but my h2b took me out on our first date to find post boxes (he a postman). He had a new duty to start the following day so we went out looking for the post boxes. I knew all the roads he needed and he thought it was brilliant (i think thats what swang it for me lol) him not knowing it was the area my brother lived so was only reason i knew the names of the streets cause otherwise i dont know anywhere. Must be love for me to still be with him after taking me to find post boxes on our first date :)

His other annoying habit is to tell me the make and model of alarms whenever we go house hunting. He works for Chubb security so cant help himself.

I sound really horrible to my sister in law but shes one of those people that cant help but be mean in near enough every sentence that comes out of her mouth.
For example our last convo was about my wedding dress. I told her it was coming from France and costing only £220....she said "really I didnt think you would be able to get one that cheap, with all the extra material yours will need"

At Christmas Steve bought me a new top she said "Ive seen one like that in Monsoon" - so I said "yes thats where I got this" - she said "Oh I didnt think their sizes went up that far"

Her claws are sharper than a samurai sword! xx

I know how to get back at her v easy - she used to go with her friend to London to hit the nightclubs where the footballers went - she doesnt like that brought up now, so if she really annoys me I just call her wag wannabe, sometimes under my breath so only she can hear. It always does the trick. xx

I'm making mine A6 as they are big enough for people to see without them getting in the way of people talking to each other etc as by the time they are on the stands that the venue supply they will be pretty high up as they are.

I'm not having a top table and I'm going to place ourselves on table number 5 so it shows that the table numbers have no relevance to the importance of guests.

What is everyone attaching the table names to? I am not sure that they will look right sitting on top of my bird cages, and hanging them inside will require them to strain to see them I think. I am a bit worried that the table will start to look overly fussy if I start adding extra bits and pieces. x

we are having a buffet too, but thinking on it, we are having 60 guests and that is plenty enough for them to be taking a while to find seats without a table planner/cards etc. they will all want to sit with people they know and i want them to mingle more.

I know my side of the family would be fine with making friends but I don't know Neil's family and in a way our wedding will be like a reunion as the family have been split up for such a long time (over something so silly) and I think the wedding breakfast would give them a chance for a proper chat.
You are right though, it's whatever we're happy with :) xxx
