I found a recipe(?) online for making your own rose petal confetti. It seems to largely consist of having a microwave, rose petals and too much time on your hands...
I have all of these things.
I really wanted colour co-ordinated bio-degradable rose confetti and given that I can go to a shop, and get lots of roses for comparatively cheaply and make it myself, it seems like it would be fun and cost-effective.
Is anyone else doing this or have I finally lost the bridal plot?!

it was really easy ...i did some by spreading petals on greaseproof paper and putting it in the oven on the lowest possible setting
i did some using the microwave and i did some by just spreading them out and leaving them to airdry

I second that question - I'd not thought of the oven but it would mean I could do more at once! How long did it keep for Lala hon? And which one was better?

you just have to keep checking on it ....... i tended to put it in the oven after i had been cooking,so you arent putting it on especially....But wait for the cooker to cool right down then just put it there and leave it ..

the easiet way is to to air dry it ....again i spread them out on baking trays and just left then in the oven ( only so my dogs didnt knock them) just leave them there

I went to a wedding in July where they had their own petal confetti, they brought it out in big wicker baskets and everyone took a handful! They had blues and lilacs so plenty of cornflowers, pansies and heliotropes :-)
