    Hi

Has anyone done this? If so what thickness of paper/card is best and how much card does each cone take to make? I really wish I had started thinking about things like this before now!

    xx

I sort of made my own, I ordered some from ebay that came flat for me to assemble. It had a template but found that to be useless, so although my cones are not all exactly the same size, lol, they look pretty. I am sure you will get advice on some website about what is best to use and the size, I can't really help as I cheated! ;) xx

i made im own, i just bought some plain white card, think it was thickness of my invites, u dont want it to thick as it wont bend right, but to thin and it wont hold its shape, i cut out one a diamond type shape and had a play with it to see what i could do, think thats prob the best way trial and error good luck hun xx

Here's the instructions im using to make mine hunni :-)

    1.
Select your preferred paper, color or design. (can be any) Trace a 6-inch circle onto a sheet of paper.

    2
Cut out the circle from the paper. Fold the circle in half and then in half again. Open up the circle to see the four folded triangles. Cut out one of the triangles from the circle.

    3
Bring the two cut edges of the circle together to create a cone shape. Glue the cone along the outer edge to retain its shape.

    4
Allow the glue to dry completely. Fill the cone with dried rose petals or confetti.

    5
Tie a colorful ribbon around the cone or glue on embellishments to personalize it.

I have just priced confetti cones and am completely amazed!!!! It would be cheaper to buy organza bags! I just used a good quality paper I had used in the wedding stationery for a friend. They are used for about 2 minutes then chucked away but you can use more or less anything you want
