I made mine hun...Firstly I considered my theme/colours and then I simply looked around for ideas etc online! Mine are were very easy to make (sorry no pics at the moment), just took a little time and patience. To be honest I REALLY enjoyed it...very relaxing!!!!! I would recommend however that if you are not buying pre-cut card/paper that you invest in a paper trimmer, that way you will save time and avoid unstraight, ragged edges! I bought one and it helped speed the job up immensely!!!! I would also suggest that you buy good quality paper/card to avoid glue staining and to give it more of a professional result!

Mine were simply....Rectangular black card with a linen effect white card (wording on this) glued to the front ...which left an inch boarder all the way around...like a frame! At the top of the white piece of card I had a piece of black lace ribbon attached! Hard to explain but I am so pleased with finished results...looked very gothic and elegant. A word of warning though hun my invites ended up sadly costing more than some of the ones I could have bought online and in shops so choose design and materials carefully! I have decided to buy my receptions invites as a result of budget now! xxx

thanks for the advice wintage, i looked on the bay of E and can get 200 A6 cards & the envelopes for £20, i'm thinking of investing in a small cutter for the inserts because the card is a cream colour i was thinking of having black ribbon on the side if you know what i mean? or thinking the black card with gold ribbon etc xxx
