Ok, so after all the humming and arrghing and hunting the net for weeks on end for the perfect invites I have finally decided to just make my own. I've had a look on the hobby craft site and found exactly what I want, I'm going to use the wallet style invites so I can do guest info etc but it works out pretty expensive, I need to make atleast 50 invites. I've also checked bay of e to see if I can find them on there cheaper and they are pretty much the same price but they are all white or ivory and I really want navy. SO, can any of you girls suggest anywhere else I could find them? All I really need is the wallet as I can buy card to do the rest and ribbon etc and print off inserts.

Do they come with invites or do you have to buy them separately? Hobby craft are 7.99 for 8 so I suppose its about the same. On that site you sent me, they have sapphire blue which looks amazing and would gooooo so well with what I want, think I'm going to have to go with this one! x

I made our invites and when I totaled it all up for 40 day invites costed over 120.00...wish I had bought them lol x

I designed mine and am having them printed and sticking on some pink bows I have if it looks right. I did graphic design so just having something very simple - cheaper to buy card and print than it is to make from scratch and add sticky things on - i make other cards and know how much per item they can be if you buy all the things like paper vellums and stuff.

i founbd it was cheaper to buy the evening invites and make the day ones!

I'm just going to think about the day invites at the moment, once they are done I can then order the stuff for the evening invites as I'm just going to do a plain flat card, no fancy stuff!

The day invites are going to cost about 90 quid and I'm taking a guess but I reckon the evening invites should cost about a tenner!

i went to my local printers to ask if they could cut them straight for me and thought he would charge me loads, but he told me to bring a packet of chocolates in for him when i want them cut and he will do them for me so there cut perfect !!

neither do i, im making about 2 invites aday other wise i get bored and start making mistakes and i cant afford to do that as they still are expensive to make mistakes lol, my diningroom table is like a craft shop !!

lol yeah, and i had to re-do them all as we moved so i had to change the address. if i never see another one again it will be to soon lol, but like i say well worth doing adds a personal touch i think, plus saves ya a shed load of money, think we got quoted (for everything, day, evening, oos, menus, save the dates) about £1,500 - £2,000 so as u can imagine i was i dont think so, i can make them for a fraction of that and have them exactly how i want them xx

cheers hun, well worth but god am i glad they are done lol, plus have done all my oos now all 100, and all my menus, table names and table plan so think i will be putting the glue down for a while lol, just got to wait for my cyrstals to come in so i can finish my handbag now lol xx
