I've probably had the crappest week EVER.. Its been really awful but I had a smile put back on my face earlier when I remembered I have my make up trial tomorrow :-) Hopefully I'll be using her for the big day but if not atleast I'll look nice for the day tomorrow lol I need a bit of pampering!!

Top tip - I had a free make up trial at a make up counter in Debenhams, was like a mini teaching session too, very good and informative. Bought the make up for about £120 but it will be enough to do me and my 2 bridesmaids and probably last me a good few years so a bit of an investment too. Tried it all at home a few weeks later following the written instructions and managed to achieve the same look. I suppose you could do the trial for free and not buy anything and buy cheaper alternatives elsewhere, thats if you are happy to do your own!

I'd rather have black eyes than blue, I look hideous and the foundation is coming off already. I didnt ask for blue nor did I want it but she said it would work better with my bridesmaids dresses. She didnt try anything else

I would think its best to avoid strong colours anyway hun, you want to look natural to be honest, less is more when it comes to bridal make up I think. Pale colours, pinks, browns, nothing too bold.

I'm doing my own make up on the day. i will most likely end up doing the bridesmaids ones as well, as I think I can do it quite well. (well better than your lady it seems any way! blue!!!? what was she thinking this aint the 80s!!)
My H2B has actually asked me not to wear make up on the day as he prefers me without it, but he knows there is no way I will go to my wedding with no make up on - so he's asked me to just put as little as possible on and no lipstick coz he hates kissing me when I have 'funny sticky stuff on' as he says!!!
i want to have false eye lashes on for the day but I know he will just think its fake and not think im as pretty as I could be.
Silly really I should be glad I have a man who loves me the way I am, but I like make up!!
Hope you find someone who can give you a better look that that woman. cant believe that was £30 either - better off spending the £30 on new make up and getting a mate to do it for you.
i'm going to have a girly night in with my bridesmaids and have alittle trial of our own. :)

I only know her name, she doesnt have a company name, website or anything, which kind of makes sense now. If I could do make up well I'd do my own but I can't and I don;t wear it much because of that. I wrote about it on facebook and a girl I went to school with messaged me, shes a beautician and has offered to do ele lash extensions and a make up trial (trying more than just one look) for 30 quid. Thats cheered me up a bit :-)

She said we can take pics if I like how its done so if I want to get other people to do trials I can show them the pics so they get an idea of how I want it but she said as far as she knows right now, shes free on my wedding day and if I'd like her to do it she will do it as a gift :-)

I didn't even know she was a beautician lol oops!! She gave a list of mutual friends names that have got married and told me to look at there pics as she done there make up.. I'm impressed. Looking good so far! Cant wait to try the eyelash extensions, if looked after they should last upto 6 weeks :-D I'm going to feel like a girl lol

i'll just say be carful with eyelash's. i had mine done and they looked amazing at first. i loved them but then when they started to come out they looked awful and when they actually fell out some of my real one went with them so i was eyelashless for a couple of weeks till they grow back!! not a great look!!

Ahh I will go careful then. I was just researching it as I'm a worrier and never have anything done without looking into it and most people have said your own eyelashes will only fall out if they use a certain type of glue that is too strong. I don't have many eyelashes as it is so I will just get her to have a look and maybe try falsies instead!

oh and yeah you can even do it yourself, the tinting that is, if you have had enough practice (I'm too lazy to do my own unless gluing on false ones lol!) so I get mine done by my friend who always does hers! x

i dont really know why im so conserned with my eyelashes.
Its the silly red dots i have on my face i should be concerned with.
They arent spots - they are permanent and red! and look like spots! sooo annoying. i bought some heavy concealer to put on them (it wasnt cheap either) but that doesnt really work as it wares off.
I was watching that new programme the other night Beauty and the beast: the ugly truth ...something or other. any way a girl on there sprayed hair spray on her face to keep her make up intact - is this mad or does it work!?!?

I'd never put hair spray on my face! If I ever use hair spray and the slight bit gets in my face I come up in a rash. I'd think that was dangerous! I'm just going to keep hunting for the perfect concealer and foundation and drink lots and lots of water. I'm gonna try microdermabration cream from no7, it has great reviews and is meant to take all the redness anyway x

There are some great products that Avon do that cover up stuff but the one i found works the best is the maybelline dream matte mousee foundation and concealer pots! I have lots of freckles and moles on my face and it covers and blends perfectly. And some are dark brown! x

I thought the hair spray thing was a little odd, plus if anyone kisses you through the day like a peck on the cheek will they just have the horrible taste of hairspray in their mouth!! hehe

yes eyelash extensions made my friend lose loads of her own eyelashes too. I prefer the strip lashes as they are less hassle and less problematic! Tinting is cheap but make sure you get a patch test before you have them done and get them done as a trial before the wedding....it is putting dye right nest to your eyes after all!

My make up never lasts, I have very combination skin, its really dry untill make up goes on and then its so oily nothing lasts. I think I'll be having touch ups all through out the day! I just hope my photographer has photoshop for editing lol xx
