hey guys, make up trial today. Looks like a lot of make up which is not something I am used to but I understand the need to focus on my eyes as I have been told they are nice and big. Sent pics to hair dresser who loves it and he is critial so pleased about that. Mum loves it. Dave is a bit like me that its nice just different. Only minor criticism is that under my eyes looked like the little blood vessels there werent covered properly because it looked like lots of little lines under my eyes so I have added concealer and I am much happier now. Only other thing, with the blusher, it is air brushed and it looks like it has been extended to by me eye going up my head slightly. Is this normal? My pics are dark due to my lighting but when she sends me the pics she took I will add them.

I am just worried the eyes are so dark as I normally go for very neutral colours. I think it looks nice though, Just going to take some getting used to. I know mum loves it but I am just so nervous its a bit dark. It looks better now I have sorted out the under eye issue though and I think overall I love it. Just very different for me.

Looks lovely hun, you need darker make up for a summer wedding as the sun light and brightness reflect off your face in the photos, I had quite a bit on when I got married last July, but because it was a mega hot, bright day I didn't look plastered in it at all xx

It does look nice it is quite dark though, if you are unsure about it though how will you feel when you look back on your wedding pics and think that it doesnt look like you, why dont you try silvers and greys they might be as dramatic but a little lighter. x
I do like it it is just so different but yes thats an option. She did say that when I sort my eye brows out it will look better and lighter again. I am more concerned about daves attitude so I will stay in it all day and see what he thinks as the night progresses.

maybe she could just use the smoky colour in your eye socket and a highlighter nearer your eyebrow, she seems to have taken the dark eye shadow quite high now I've had a second look ....

hairdresser text me and said he wants more enhancing of my lips... he can get stuffed haha! I am not looking like a barbie doll. I think you can only have dark eyes OR dark defined lips, not both or it doesnt work. I think hes trying to glam me up too much. I can see him and my make up artist arguing on the day haha!

don't forget on your wedding day that u will be smiling so the blusher will be ideally placed for that.
i think it needs a slightly lighter eye colour as it is a touch dark but i love the overall look :-)

When you blush naturally the colour spreads up towards your temple, which is why the blusher was taken so high. I've watched Alan Pan (estee lauders global make-up artist) work, and he does the same.
As for the eyes, they are dramatic, and can be toned down with a touch of silver, lilac or bronze colour if you're be more comfortable. However, depending on how you have your hair, dramatic eyes can create a lovely effect.

oh just the news I want to hear. It has defo gotten better as the day progressed. I think my skin was a tad dry for it before but its getting a bit of moisture now making the foundation look a bit better too. I think we are happy overall. With my killer tiara and dress hopefully this should all look lovelly together.

The base looks lovely. Make sure you moisturise well on the morning of the wedding, a make-up artist remove the excess if needed.
