I hardly ever wear make up so I've invested in some new foundation and some waterproof mascara. I'm happy with the lipstick, eye shadow and blusher I already have. Two questions:

Do I need both liquid foundation and the compact foundation I've bought?
How can I stop the guaranteed non clumping mascara from clumping?

I'm very pleased with the overall look apart from a little bit of clumping and I'll have a lot of help on the day if I need it.

I use liquid foundation and powder to place ontop to prevent from any shine and just to finish the look off..

To stop clumping erm.... I just make sure i dab off any excess off the mascara brush on a piece of tissue and then apply it to my eyelashes... this normally stops clumping for me :)

I'm not good with makeup as I never wear it either - my makeup lady told me to buy something for the day of the wedding said it was the only thing I would need to keep my make up looking fresh but I can't remember what it's called so if anybody has any ideas can they let me know I think if I heard the word I would know if that was it or not!!!

hi, i always put some talc or loose eyeshadow onto an applicator the put it on my lashes just to make sure they are soft and dry, if your lashes are stil slightly 'damp' with foundation or moisturiser your mascara will clump, put your mascara on a bit at a time in 2 or 3 coats letting it dry in between each coat. always works for me! xx

Nope wasn't primer she said it was something to touch your makeup up throughout the day and that it cost about £11 but me and all my bridesmaids can use the same one - I'm so hopeless when it comes to makup lol I might just have to try and find her card and phone her to find out it's bugging me now!!! xx

Bare minerals foundation is best cos its a light powder but really covers well and stops shine x

zig zagging the brush when doing mascara stops clumps and don't put loads of the mascara on the brush and compact powder sets the foundation so it stays longer on your face do a practise run a few times =) x
