OK so I have asked two of my bridesmaids and waiting to find an opportunity to ask the other one however my h2b said I need a Moh so who do I pick? My mum said my sister was too young (she will be 20 in 2015).

I don't know if I should do my sister as moh or Heather? Or would it be better making Heather the moh and my sister the chief bridesmaid or something as there are only three of them?

    :S

You don't NEED a maid of honour, its very normal to just have a few bridesmaids and divvy out tasks to them all

She doesn't act immature but has her moments. I'm just not sure if I should make her moh or chief bm? :S

One option could be for them all to be bridesmaids, but give them all individual titles depending on the roles that would suit them best. One could be 'hen night bridesmaid', another could be 'helping you look nice on the day bridesmaid' (so helping you in the morning, ensuring you train is fine, looking after any make up you're taking with you. 'Helping with creative DIY tasks before the wedding bridesmaid'

Obviously I've not put much thought into the actual titles....

I'm sure your sis would see why you chose best mate... i ended up having to ask both my sisters.. the one i wanted to be is my younger, but would have gotten political not getting big sis to be... so i have best of both worlds... and 2 people looking after my other 2 bridesmaids and me!

you don't "need" a moh, but is generaly traditional and i don't see why your sis can't be moh, 20 is not that young. i mean we have bride on here who are 19/20. and you know your sister will always be your sister.

I was 21 when I was MoH. As long as they are mature about it it doesn't matter how old they are.

My best friend is my MoH but she does nothing. All I can say is who ever you give the title to make sure they will actually help you out.

I dont think 20 is too young at all. My maid of honour is responsible for all party planning - engagement party, hen do and pre-wedding spa day etc and she is 25. Ive managed to plan a whole wedding on my own at age of 22/23! It all depends on how much you want them to do towards your big day. If you are doing most the planning and dont really need any help then dont worry about it. if you want to delegate lots of jobs then pick someone reliable xx

20 isnt too you. Its up to you. It needs to be the one you trust the most in my opinion, but it is a hard decision x

Thanks for the advice guys; I'm still thinking about it though :S But good to know that I don't need one if I can't decide.
