    Hi girls,
Hoping you can give me some advise, I've just found out my maid of honour is expecting her first baby (yiee) but with the timing she'll be 8months at my wedding and we already ordered/paid for the her dress 3months ago. I asked her if she thinks she would still be feeling up to being MOH cause I know at the later stages your pretty much exhausted and it might be too much for her, but she's still really keen on being a big a part of the wedding as she can be. So my question is girls what can I do about the dress? There's no way we can guess what size she's going to be to try and never having been pregnant myself i would know where to start for getting the current one altered (fitted bust, lace up bk with a slight A-line skirt) please help xxx

    I agree with Lala.
Or perhaps see a dressmaker? Although its easier to make a dress smaller its not always possible to make the dress slightly bigger.
Where did you get the dress from? You could always explain the situation and hope they are understanding so you could change your order to a bigger size than your MOH expects to be perhaps and have it altered to be made smaller nearer the time?

I'd sell it and go for a maxi dress style as opposed to something fitted xxx

I agree with both Lala and mrs T. 2 Be. But for instants when I had my 1st child was started as a size 14 and by 8 months was still a size 14 and I never stopped eating. So you never know how the pregnancy will progress. Xxc

The bonus is that as MOH you can get away with her being in a different dress so maxi dress might work well in the same colour.

Thanks girls, we got the dress from berketex so now got an appointment with them on Monday to see what they can do with the style we had chosen. They're a big company so It won't be the first pregnant girl they've had to alter a dress for so fingers crossed xx I picked an unusual shade of blue so it'll be difficult trying to find another suitable dress that will match eek!

Sometimes they can add panels into the dress that can be adjusted nearer the time. One of my friends got married at five months pregnant (unplanned but a happy accident). She already had the dress but the shop were amazing, and totally unphased.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

This has just happened to me but my MOH will be 5 months with her 3rd.
She has just had her final dress fitting and they have taken all the bone out of the dress. They can do amazing things to dresses now so you can always get a panel put into the dress.

Your dress is a lace up back then she should be okay they might just have to make the panel bigger and do the sides.

    When are you getting married?
