    Help...

our magician just contacted us by email saying he has changed his booking system and he has made a mistake, he can still come and do his act but, we wanted him from 6 till 8 and he is holding his hands up saying "he is really sorry, its all his fault" but could he change it from then till 7 till 9 he does state that its his fault and if we really want him for the time we booked him for then he will understand, problem is im one of those people that feel sorry for others and think, shall we try to work a way around this, although it does muck our order up a little, we were gonna have him come an hour before our evening guests come so the day guests get him and enjoy it,then when the evening gusts come they can enjoy him,for an hour, now it would have to be.. he is there when people are arriving, does his magic for an hour then at 8pm we were gonna do cutting of cake and first dance (so he would have to have a break) then re start at around 8.30 till 9.30

do you think this would work or am i being too nice, i now feel guilty if i say no i booked you for that time and i want you for that time, even though im within my rights to!

Have him for the time you booked as long as you have your confirmation. Don't ruin your timings because he messed up

You're the customer, and he should work around your request, not vice versa.

As everyone has said, I would hold out for your requested and booked time first. If he comes back and says no can do then maybe you can come to some sort of arrangement and he can give you a discount x

Something else I forgot to add is that with only 2 months to go before your day, I would be a little mindful of someone letting me down full stop. It was always a concern for me in the run up to our wedding. We had issues with the woman who did our stationery and some of our decorations.

Defo tell him if he cannot do the time he was booked for by you, then you will find someone else who can.

ive emailed him telling him we did try to rearrange our schedule to accommodate his request, but it just didn't work with our planned timescale, so told him we wanted to keep the original time, he has emailed back saying no problem and thanks for considering it.

if he can still come at the times you want "if we really want him for the time we booked him for then he will understand" what was the point in contacting you anyway ... my feeling is he has the chance of another job the same day and he thinks he can shift you to fit it in ....I DONT THINK SO !!!!!!!!

All soun very strange, like lala said, why ask if you if you could rearrange it if he can stay with the original time anyway?why not ask the other people to rearrange?

i also think this was the case, i booked it ages ago and way before anyone else would have booked that day/time so i get first refusal anyway, its his mess up not mine, im just too nice and tried to accommodate but nope im not, its my day and ive already sorted it now so,i can relax x
