£5, that's really excellent. Well done. Cost me £40 to make my own pocket fold invites with ribbon, 5 inserts, RSVP envelope and an outer envelope. Still have some materials left so using it for other bits too. Would love to see them.
I ordered a sample which when I got it I think I can make myself so gonna give it a go with 1 and see how it goes x

All i bought was card envelopes and used my printer and diamontes! There simple not too fussy :) its a very small family intimate wedding so i wasn't gonna spent a fortune on them :) My profile is public now have a look :)

£5! thats sooo good, i thought id save money making mine but i spent £115 on 25 invites!!!! have got abit left over so using the other bits and bobs to co-ordinate seating plan, place settings etc, i think it's lovely when you make them yourself and show them off :) x

U did spend a bit lol if I had the money I would spend a few quid but were on a budget so have to b careful with the pennies lol I was able to fit 4 invites on 1 bit of card so I have loads of card left to make all the name place cards, table no cards and all that. The card was 3.99 for 50 sheets and £1 for 50 envelopes so was good value at easons :)

I do not know how you have managed to make your invites by spending just £5 jealous I think I'm spending maybe £30 I think when I get all my bit and the receipts I will know how much I have spent in total I dunnoe If I'm just being fussy with my wedding stationary trying to make them look different and perfect and go with our wedding theme hand in hand. I just want them to be hand made with Love and attention and for my guests to keep them as keepsakes as we made them by hand so they are sentimental and very personal to all who are coming to our wedding =D ♥ X

I'm just not going too crazy on the detail keeping it simple. More things to worry about and spend money on than invites that people will lose after the wedding lol In the middle of making my menus, table place cards and table number cards. Have to say i'm really enjoying it. My fiance is a great on the Pc he has really got into all this 2! He stayed up to 3am working with me on all this :) x

sometimes simple works out so much better than intricate details! we're doing half DIY half print company! as in they do the printing for us at a lower cost, and we put it altogether and personalise it ourselves. well thats what im hoping. they are coming up with a proof for me sometime this week, and if i like they will print it out as a sample for me. got to imagine it all stuck together and with my ribbon and stuff to it but am intrigued to see what they will be sending over!! Aw well done you having such a fab OH! staying up till 3 am!! mine is trying to avoid the W word at all costs! xx

That's cool it will take the stress of the whole printing thing lol thats the best part decorating it :D I know my OH is good hes very interested in everything lol sometimes a little too involved lol but hes great help :) hes not a typical guy i have to say he drags me round the shops clothes shopping! He came with me to pick the cake, pianst, rings. He went on his own to see the photographer hes been to our venue more than me lol Im pretty lucky lol think im gonna cry talking like this lol omg im so emotional lately is anyone else? lol

haha aw thats fab that he is so involved!
i try and get my OH interested or ask his opinion but all he says is i just want to marry you, thats all that matters to me. im like yeh thats sweet but seriously what do you think of bla bla. haha, its all good! he did help me when we were researching for the venue and photographer and everything. and to be perfectly honest the venue and photographer we have gone for are the ones he picked so! can't really complain to be honest!
as for invites, i did have a go at DIY but the card and that i wanted to use colour matched perfectly but unfortunately wasnt suitable for printing, and heard that from an official printers, so as it turns out so was lucky in that respect. so am hoping what they come up with will be just as good and then with the added personal touch will make it worth while! x

Awk thats good your OH seems very supportive :) but yea the photographer and venue and all is probably a bit more interesting than our girly invites haha so cant blame him der lol its nice to have your own personal touch means no one else will ever have the same :) Are you doing your own menus? I haven't decided on that yet just printed out a rough copy x

well once we have worked on the actual menu in terms of food choices we will just type it all out and have it printed. hopefully the design they come up with will be a running 'theme' throughout all the stationary. So invites, menus, table names, table plan, name cards, thank yous, post box will all be same design. we shall see! x

no probs - unfortunately they are the most expensive invite design! so if you can find blank card for inserts at a much cheaper rate you can get a full invite done for few quid rather than £5 per! x

They are indeed, and i even got one designed and cut and made DIY and all but the only card i could find in the right colour for us was one that couldnt be printed on :( so back to drawing board. hence why now trying out a printers.
looking at a square card (as in bday card style opening) with a clear plastic triangle to sit on the inside corner (left) where i will put the 3 inserts of information then have the main insert with the invite. so similar to pocketfold but 1 fold instead of 2 and not envelope closing. if that makes any sense whatsoever. x
