i think i have made a mistake with the wedding ring i have chosen and its really naffed me off.
went with h2b yesterday to choose them, and jeweller in shop said she would of advised me when i bought my e. ring that it would be really difficult to find a wed ring that would sit correctly next to it.
i tried loads of different rings on but nothing screamed 'buy me', jeweller said a wishbone would work, but i declined that as ive had wishbone rings when growing up and id feel like i was just 'playing' if that makes sense! i wanted a diamond set band but in the shop as they only had small samples it was difficult for me to try it and get feel for it. in the end, as i had our bored 8 year old with us amongst other things, i felt slightly under pressure and picked the one currently in my photo books.
trouble is now i dont think i really like it, and i feel cheated it is not what i really wanted, but it was the only one that would sit correctly.
when i got E. ring, just looking at the picture made me all giddy but im just not getting it from this one.
oh what do i do?

Do you have to wear both rings on the same finger hun? I know lots of people do but not everyone. Surely it would be better for you to have a wedding ring you truly love than one because it works. Could you possibly have your engagement ring on your other hand? My rings don't fit together but to me my wedding ring is the only ring I want on that finger after I am married and my engagement ring will go on my other hand. Only a suggestion hun, tho I am sure you have probably considered this already. xx

I have the same problem would have to have mine made to fit around the engagement ring, I'm seriously thinking off just having my engagement ring and not bothering with a wedding ring. I now exactly what you mean about the wishbone rings, have one already and it does fit around the ring but i dont think it looks right would rather just have a nice engagement ring thats looks good on its own.

If you go to an independent jeweller like they have in the Birmingham jewellery quarter than you can have them made to fit as they can do a waxing where they take a mould of your e ring and then make the wedding ring to fit around it and they can design it in any way you want it. It doesn't work out that much more than if you had a normal ring as you are paying for the weight of gold and diamonds more than anything.
stevie i have thought about that but as i wear my mums emerald ring, and also a ring i have never taken off since my gran bought it for me when i was 8, that wouldnt work and i know h2b wouldnt be happy with me wearing them separate.
tiggs, that is the problem all the ones i like dont seem to work with my ring and there is a gap so they dont sit flush together. i dont want to offend h2b but i just dont feel anything about it.
buying our wedding rings certainly wasnt the experience i thought it would be or would of liked.

take it back and say you dont like it...............then i would try one of these company's that come to your house babe. That way you can make a ring that is unique and perfect for YOU! And they can make them so they will sit perfectly next to your e ring. I thought they would be too expensive but they really wernt as bad as i thought and we only went £50 over our budget for both lol

Martay, my e-ring is pretty much the same as your's and I found a wedding ring that fit's against it perfectly. It's a traditional band with set diamonds but in the middle it just goes in slightly so the square of the e-ring can fit into it. Both of mine are from beaverbrooks

woop woop. following my post yesterday and feeling really really emotional i explained to h2b the reasons why i wasnt keen on my wedding ring. alot of the reason why i chose my ring was because i felt under pressure in shop due to 1. it being a bank holiday and very busy and 2. my daughter was rather bored. anyway after explaining how i felt he gave me his blessing to change if i wanted too.
anyway today i made an impromptu trip to jewellers and got a different member of staff, i explained how about chosen ring etc and after trying on many more i have finally picked my wedding ring and really cant be any happier.
its pretty much the opposite from what i wanted and picked but i love it and now keep looking at it.
that is what i call a RESULT!!!!!!

SO happy they changed it for you. I had the same. I bought mine last year but recently I was looking at it and I wasn't happy with it at all. SO I also made an impromptu trip to the jewellers and came across one that I love and they let me exchange it, even though it was a few months since I bought it and I had lost the receipt.
People can be really nice if you are prepared to ask nicely! xx

the 'crossover' ring in my profile was my first wed ring, pretty yeah but just wasnt screaming at me!
the second one (band with diamonds) is the one i am having. checked it again this morning and felt quite giddy when i tried it on. i am now going to have to get h2b to hide it or if i keep looking at it, its going to be dull and scratched by the time comes round for him to put it on finger legally!!!!!!
