So by the end of Feb we should have saved enough to buy our rings straight off.
Problem is they don't sell it in my size I'm an F, the smallest they do is a H. It has a pattern on it which I don't know if it will get ruinded by re-sizing. Also when we buy it we can get free engraving which we want. But if we do that and I get it re-sized it might get ruined. And if we buy it, re-size it and then get it engraved it will cost us extra.
So question is do I just look for another ring or do I take the risk and buy it and re-size it. If so do I go for the free engraving or do I pay for it after the re-size?

You dont sound 100% on it, remember you have to wear it for life and do you want to compromise? Have you got a picture of it? Why dont you take the picture to another jewelers and see if they can match it in the right size? xxx

Oh I have stupidly small hands, I know 10year olds with bigger hands than me.
Taking it to another jewellers won't cost a bomb though will it? But in saying that I know how much getting a ring re-sized costs had to do it for my engagement ring and it's still two sizes to big as they wouldn't re-size it any more due to the stones, and that cost me £98.
I would pick a different ring, it would be worse to get one you love and have it ruined. x

You don't seem 100% in the way your talking about it but if want the ring that badly then take it to a direct jeweller as they can get it at a reduced price. My OH wanted a ring designed and the design studio within the jewellery company were quoting £750 & a direct jeweller within the jewellery quarter in bham was quoting £225.... Same with my ering, had street price of alot more but OH got it at JQ for half the price but insured for genuine cost so! It's where you go & where you look. You don't know until you ask though hun so if you don't want to give up on that ring yet then that's your best bet. Also look around at Resize quotes, i got quoted between £12 - £90 to have it Resized 1.5 sizes smaller! I've just looked and can see your concerns about resizing so either look around for someone to design it for you or maybe it's best to look elsewhere!
I thought going down 5 ring sizes to a K was major change and thought it was now slim, but compared to you... Still got me some PFS.... Podgy finger syndrome!!
Good luck hun xx

I wouldnt get it, you dont seem 100% and you have to wear this for a good few years so I'd look for something else. You can definitly get something like that on the high street, my mum had a similar one in yellow gold. Shop about and make sure you're completely happy before buying. You have time on your side too which is lucky, lots of time to shop about xx

i got 2 of my rings cleaned and resized for £30 so I dont think it will cost you the earth to get them resized. If that pattern goes all the way round, then i dont see how it will ruin it, and id have the engraving done after resizing as well.
Also, how small are your fingers!? I thought mine were small, my ring is a bit loose and its a H!
Wibbly wobbly, timey wimey

Very pretty :)
Do they sell any other F sized rings in their store? Would they make the ring you like in an F specially for you? Maybe they'd charge extra, but that way you'd still be able to get the free engraving and not have to have it resized.
If not I think I'd take the picture to a couple of other jewlers who do go down to an F size and see what they can suggest.

If you really want the ring then why dont you talk to the jewellers about it. Tell them you are an F and say that you will buy the rings, but you want it sized to fit you for free and for them to engrave them for free after. Most places are just happy for the sale and the worst they can do is say no xxx

Thank you all. We have both had a talk about it and we have decided it's to much of a risk and now he tells me that he thinks it look too girlie.
So we have decided we are going to make each others ring so it fits perfect. But also put our finger print onto the inside so we will always be with each other. Doing this will take longer but will be well worth it.
