I went to try on dresses for the first time at the weekend. Whilst my mum and sisters loved a particularly dress, I just liked it. I'm not sure I'll ever "love" a dress cos I feel a bit ridiculous in them all! Maybe I'll only ever "like" them. Anyone else feel like this?

I was a bit like this when I started. I tried on quite a few dresses but never really felt this rush that it sounds like you get when you read some things. I tried one on though, and I knew it was the dress I wanted to get married in. It was like a specific feeling and I haven't had a mad rush - also haven't picked the one everyone cried when I tried on - but I know I've made the right choice.

i 'liked' every dress i tried on, but there was that one that put a massive smile on my face and made me want to twirl, we called it the twirl factor. Thats not to say i didnt have second thoughts about the cost etc (Mum was paying). I think if you keep looking, and if you are drawn to a particular style just try those on. dont be swayed by what other people say, i very nearly got talking into getting a dress that i just 'liked' by listening to my mum and sister. They both agreed when i went bak and tried on the 'twirl' dress i had made the right decision.

You know what you like and what you dont, dont feel you need to be conventional either, if you like a quirky style, go for that!

I felt the same when I started trying on dresses. Felt like a total idiot. Then I started leaning towards one style and tried on a few similar ones that I liked but still never found 'the one'. I then saw one on a chinese custom website and really liked it. I took a gamble, ordered it and it arrived yesterday & I cried when it turned up - it's perfect!

At the end of the day you need to feel comfortable & happy in what you wear. I think the only answer is to try, try, try and then try on some more he he!

I was the same until I tried on "the dress". I actually want to keep going back to the shop to try it on and keep making up loads of excuses to do so!

It'll just make you feel a million dollars whatever state you're in, I tried it on with my hair in a mess, no makeup, tired and ill and hell it perked me up!

I was the exact same! I tried on loads and loads of dresses, all different shapes and styles. I eventually narrowed it down to 3 i liked the most. Then I cut another one out and made a decision out of 2. The only way I knew what dress I loved more was when I considered buying one of the other dresses and my heart sank thinking about the other dress - so I bought this one. I absolutley love my dress and I am glad I picked it, can not wait to pick it up but I know if I carried on looking I would find another one thats just as nice so I never got 'The One' feeling either really. Dont be worrying about getting that feeling just go for one which you like, the dress that makes you feel like a million dollars, Is comfortable and you are happy with xx
