Wow, my dad lives in Portugal so don't see him often. Spoken to him on Skype tonight about the wedding plans and asked him to give me away. He's now sent a very soppy email (which is very unlike my dad!) saying how honoured he is to do so. When we first got engaged he was very quiet about putting money towards the wedding and we said we don't expect anything from him but if he'd like to contribute it would be greatly appreciated (as we are paying for it all ourselves). Well he's going to put £1000 towards! That's so amazing, I imagined he would say like £300. Just wanted to give him a lil shout out! Got me all emotional now haha xx

Its nice when they do that and its not expected.... my dad lives in Singapore so don't see him alot and i was shocked when he offed to pay our full reception of £4500 but i didnt ask so a nice surprise !! xx
