I was all happy before our holiday about the wedding plans and excited and since coming back from holiday i have no wedding mojo... I know i got just over a year to go and so far i have reception, church, vicar and photographer but got no idea what i should be doing next. Everyone keeps asking how the plans are coming along and i just say 'i have done nothing' but dont know where to start now or why it is despressing me! anyone else felt this way?! xx

I felt this way last week, but this week so far I am so excited. I wouldn't worry too much yet if I was you. It will come back when your date is getting closer. x

Like someone said, have a break to get over your holiday, you need to get back into the swing of normal life first.

Excellent quote From Alex Polizzi (Hotel Inspector etc) who was given this quote by her Uncle (who owns TH Forte hotels)

"NEVER only look at the bigger picture, its pointless it will totally overwhelm you and therefore sap your energy. Look at small individual tasks that point toward that goal and only focus on those moving quickly onto each one"

And he built a Hotel empire.

So basically dont ever look at the WHOLE big task. Just write down a bullet list of all the mini tasks. Focus on each one at a time and move straight onto the next.
Look after the mini tasks and the big task will take care of itself.

Bit like, look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves, type analagy.

Thanks... that kinda makes sense. No time for a holiday to get over our holiday as back to work today and got 2 weeks worth of work to catch up on and travelling loads this week so i am going to adjust to normal life again first then a weekend with my mum might help the wedding mojo xxx

No i meant a holiday form thinking/organising the wedding. Work is fine.

When you feel you should start thinking about the wedding again make a list of tasks to be done and maybe have the first one as what you would percieve to be one of the more fun tasks.

Wish i could follow my own advice sometimes! lmfao

I had a 3 month break from organising the wedding when I was unwell earlier in the year. I have to admit, it was nice to have a break and focus on normal life for a while. Maybe that would be best? Plus the closer to the wedding you get the more exciting having stuff to organise is. I got to a point where I had organised so many things, I ran out of things to do lol. I agree that a break would do you good too. Plus youve got all the big stuff organised so you can relax for a while :-)
