My employer came home last night and told me i wont have a job after july! I did not want to hear that! She is being good about it though, as she is officially employing me until august, so that I can recieve my full Maternity pay, but i wanted to be able to work right up to the end and then come back to my job. Theres going to be no point in me finding a new job as no one will employ me with three months until i give birth! Its really upset me as i now feel really useless. x

Did they say why you're being made redundant? They have to be careful when getting rid of you because it can be claimed as being discrimination. xx

I got made redundant whilst I was preg as well, and my employer were really arsey bout trying to help me at all so your lucky your employer is trying to help! I know it's such a sucky situation though hun, my heart goes out to you. Unfortunately I lost the baby so it didn't matter that my company were being soo rubbish in the end. Hope everything works out ok for you in the end :-) congrats on the pregnancy :-) xxx

its not discrimination...her mum lives in australia but wants to come back to england to live, and my employer is a single parent in a rented house...she wants to buy a house, but cant afford it by herself, so her and her mum are going to buy one together...if her mum is around, theres no point employing me as she could get her mum to look after rahna. so she is going to put rahna in nursery and her mum will look after her before and after. so it makes sense for their situation! thats why she is doing her best to accomodate me up until i can officialy go on maternity leave and recieve my full maternity pay entitlement! im lucky i told my employer about my pregnancy really early on as otherwise i would have lost my job come june and have nowhere to go! so being pregnant is making the situation better for me! x

sorry to hear about your job tigerlily, but you have the qualifications and experience to work in a nursery or a school, after you have had baby! don't let it get to you or get you down and stressed though! xx
