Not been on lately as had a million and one things to deal with.

We're supposed to be moving house in 9 days, and handing our keys back from our current place in ten days. As of yet, the estate agents are causing so much stress it's unreal... I've handed in 3 different forms of proof of address and they still won't accept any.... we haven't signed any contracts yet or even seen them... not allowed to put any money down until all the references come back... they said my FIL2b couldn't act as our guarantor because he lives in Spain, my nana is not eligible to act as one so my uncle is our last hope. If not... we're screwed basically.

Also having bridesmaid/photographer issues... one of my BMs boyfriend was supposed to be our photographer... they broke up for the second and (it seemed) final time, we looked elsewhere to replace him.... now they are back together and he's annoyed that we've sorted out a replacement... AND he now wants to charge us £50 extra, for 'travelling costs'. We've told him that to be honest, we have a lot more things to arrange first. Then the same BM is complaining about dresses, I have told them they can pick their own dresses as they are paying for them, all I have asked is that they are knee length and not in a material or colour that will make them uncomfortable in the summer heat. Apparently this is impossible for her to do, and she has been harassing my CBM to no end, talking about both her boyfriend doing our wedding photos AND the dresses.

Still having problems with the student loans company too, amongst everything else.

To get to the point, we're putting the date back... between now and September we've just got too much to do, the flat we're moving to is unfurnished so we've decided to concentrate on our house first and get settled, then once we're settled, we'll get back to planning the wedding. MIL2b says that the paperwork can take months so if we aim for next spring or summer, it gives us plenty of time to get the paperwork finalised with time to spare in case of difficulties (and we usually get into every single possible difficulty, with our luck!). I'm not really happy about putting it back again, and Peter knows it because I really didn't want to be juggling university and wedding planning for the third year running... however, I suppose by now, I'm a pro at it. And I am happy that for the time being it's one less stress on me, at a time when I'm stressed enough!

We ARE getting married on the 5th of July 2012, our third anniversary. I've told Peter that I'm not postponing again, it perfectly possible to do it by then, so if the dreaded 'p' word gets mentioned ever again, I might need to borrow Croc's shovel. Hoping that things get better from now on, I think we deserve a break from all these things that are going wrong now!

Oh well at least you can sort your new home out first, by the time you marry you will be settled and hopefully stress free!!!!!

Thanks ladies :) and Lala yes please haha, as soon as we've moved and I'm NOT a nervous wreck, definitely would be nice to meet up! I'm in a haze of boxes and packing worries atm! :/

hope that the move happens and your all settled and stress free stick to your guns over the bm and photographer fiasco, I'm sure the wedding wont be postponed again

Do you know, we were supposed to get married next March, but it's become such a strain for so many different reasons, we're bringing it forward to Dec and keeping it VERY low key. I want my wedding day to be a lovely experience, not a build up of stress. Saying that, it's my second wedding and I think everyone should have a wedding of their dreams. If people are causing hassle, I would take a deep breath and gently but firmly say "you don't have to be involved if it's causing you problems" and stick to it. It's your day, not theirs and you have enough to worry about with everything going on.

We are definitely going to go with our replacement photographer, who knows if they'll break up again, might even do it right before the wedding and we'll be in trouble then!! Just don't feel like we can trust them to stay together now, not after they've broken up 'for good' twice and still gotten back together!

I'm thinking of it on the bright side of 'Hey with the wedding in July, and my graduation in August... I get two days where everyone makes a big fuss of me and tells me how awesome I am' :P

they do stale about abit! defo wiv the mortgage then all the documents! i booked day off work to pickl keys up and dint get them til 5pm! cud of bloody worked lol

It sounds like it is the best option! Just make sure you start all the finer details in plenty of time so you can concentrate fully on the tail end of your final year. Hoping not too much more house move stress for you!!!
