Hi everyone. My H2B and I have decided to start looking at getting something booked for our wedding - and the thought of planning for 100+ guests for a UK wedding gives me the fear - so we have decided on Turkey for around 30 adults and children.
Now, I do have an advantage, as we have been to Oludeniz, Fetihye, Calis, area's a few times - his parents go to Fetihye every year, and we also have a family friend who has moved there, which Im sure will make the whole process much much easier. (Thank God!).
What none of us are clued up on is the legal side of things. We have no idea for any of it. I contacted a private company who as part of the package will deal with:
• Organisation of all legal requirements, including Bride & Groom’s visit to the British Consulate in Antalya (includes Consulate’s administration charges) • Transfer to Antalya with English speaking driver * 1 English speaking & 1 Turkish speaking wedding coordinator in attendence throughout wedding • Official wedding ceremony with government official • Translation of ceremony • Registration of marriage at British Embassy in Fethiye *
Apart from the stuff explicitally mentioned, is there anything that needs to be done? Or would I then technically be able to book this package, get the liscence from the UK to say we are both allowed to marry and hop on a plane?
Thanks everyone!

Hi Cupcake,
I am planning on getting wed in North Cyprus (Turkish side) and I was also dragging through tons of websites with all sorts of information on them! It seems to me that the package you have listed is everything you need. Will you be having a wedding planner? If so they will arrange everything for you and you will not have any hassle. You could also speak with the venue just to check if there is anything extra that you need to think about. Don't know if this will help you at all but hope you get it sorted :) xx
