So after months of thinking we'd have a big wedding up in a welsh castle, w2b and I are considering minimising the stress and just having a small do in London. Marylebone registry office followed by somewhere intimate for a meal (20-40 probs)
Does anybody have any recommendations for venues which would be good for this size of reception? I don't want places to look empty. Thus far, I've investigated the Zetter, Royal Society of Arts and Pembroke Lodge.
Ideally, there wouldn't be a ridiculous room hire charge and we wouldn't spend more than £80 per person for food and drink.
Ideas, ladies?

I don't know what the prices are like, but what about Wellington Arch. It holds 40 for a meal, and 80 for a drinks reception.

London has so many cool venues. There's a website specialising in unique venues in London.

Grace I've popped a link on your wall - it's a wedding blog and the link shows all weddings tagged London. A few of the couples were also married in Marleybone Town Hall. Maybe one if the venues is for you - thst way you see many pics of a wedding set up straight away.

It might be difficult to land a helicopter outside a cool beautiful pub. Is w2b aware of this? :-)

Thanks everyone. I checked out Wellington Arch already. It's insanely expensive (baiscally the cost of hosting my wedding up north for 120 people) but amazing! I would if I could.
Helicopters can't be flown in the centre of London apart from my the duke of westminster if i remember correctly so w2b has backed down on that one :-)

Oh it was Beauberry House, but the website redirects to say it's not in use anymore, so maybe it's gone bust :( We also looked at Le Gothique in Wandsworth, which was absolutely beautiful and perfect for an intimate wedding such as you're describing. Can't remember their pricing, but I know it wasn't the cheapest place we looked at, but I'm sure you could work your magic, Grace! x
