i am thinking of doing something special to include my nan and granddad who are no longer with us but not sure what. granddad died when i was 8 and my nan when i was 17 (im now 23). my nan has missed my big mile stones such as graduating as a nurse, she was part of the reason i became a nurse. i feel sorry for my dad as he will only have his sister at the wedding whereas my mum will have about 30 close relatives.

I want to light 4 candles

first two are for my grandparents who didnt have a easy life, but they were like chalk & cheese my granny used to clean every day even when she didnt need to, my grandpa used to work 12 hour days 7 days a week, i remember at their 70th wedding anniversary (99) my grandpa got down on on knee & proposed to my granny again & fell off a a chair

Second is for my late mil she died when i was 21 weeks pregant with mitchell, I remember when me & h2b first moved in together she cried bless her, & she ALWAYS took my side when h2b was taking the mick out of me

& the fourth is for h2b's grandad "bob" who passed away when i was 19 weeks pregnant with robert, we always used to swap recipes

mitchell has got my grandpa's name as a middle name, robert was named after bob & he also has mil's name as his middle name but the male version Linden xxxx

I think this is a brilliant idea Becca, a lovely thought

on our big day i'll be thinking of my Granny. She was such a big influence in my life and it really will feel weird doing it without her. One of my favorite memories of her:

She was afraid of flying so when we went to spain on holiday we took a coach (loooooooooong trip ladies) and as we were passing through france there was a thunder storm, it was about 12.30am so most other people on the coach were asleep and it was just me and my Granny on the top deck at the front. Both of us were scared of and really hated thunder storms but this one was different. It was so beautiful the way the lightening branched out it was like fireworks was so lovely to share that moment with her.

    i love this idea hun,

thank you for giving us the opportunity to do this

1st off id wish to light a candle for my grandad, tbh i was too young to remember when it was he died but it doesnt make him any less special, i used to be called Alice by him after Alice in wonderland :) i used to comb his hair and he would always spoil me. Unfortunately his heart couldnt handle the tablets he was on anymore and just stopped :( Love you loads granddad.

Next i lost my Great grandma on my 12th birthday, she simply died of old age. I try to take my nan (her daughter) to her grave once a year to say hello :)

In 2003 my nan lost her life to motor neurone disease, honestly i wouldnt wish this on anyone. She lived for 5 years with it, slowly it shut down her body :( Miss you loads

In 2005 my ex boyfriend's cousin lost their baby girl at 16 months old, she had a very rare genetic condition. Our little star in the sky.

Unfortunately in decemeber 2007 my sister had my neice, we knew for about 5 days beforehand she would be stillborn :( My angel, i miss her so much and love her greatly, so glad we had the opportunity to meet her.

sorry to hear about all your other losses and they shall all make sure your days will be perfect xx

Is now happily married to my gorgeous man

    I'd like to light some,
One for my baby sister who died nearly 14 years ago. One for my Grandma and one for my mum who passed away 21 months ago.
The only way I'm planning my wedding without my mum is knowing that she's my guardian angel and she's always with me where ever I go and whatever I do xxx

This is a lovely idea, even if it is making me cry : )

i dont really have any memories of my granddad except when we stayed at his during school holidays and he used to wake my nan up by calling f a n n y up the stairs. (no idea why but that's the best memory i have of him) lol. i dont have any happy memories of my nan, all i can remember is the final year as she battled cancer. wish i could remember the good times but these memories just over power them.
