Wedding Forum - Less than 40 hours to go - is it wierd that...

My mind is all over the place! I had wanted to get my teeth whitened and I sometimes get botox, (I'm 41), just 3 times in 2 years but couldn't get an appointment in time for either. So now I'll be scared to smile in the pictures for fear of crows feet plus I've always hated my teeth and I really wanted to have them whitened before the day.

I've been frantically cleaning the house (I have lots of older relatives coming from Ireland and some of them can be quite critical) also my fiance is Indian and I know some of them disapprove of him not being a Catholic, (he's a Hindu). He refused an arranged marriage to be with me and his lovely parents just shrugged and said words to the effect of 'if you want to marry a white Irish Catholic then that's fine with us as long as you're happy'.

Though he's been driving me INSANE for the last week. Everything he does irritates me! To be fair though, our beloved 4 year old son and my own mother are also driving me insane so it might be me...

He is at risk of deportation as an illegal immigrant and be taken any day, personal emotions aside that's fair enough - he is, in fact an illegal immigrant. His brother got a visa to work in England, (they're both pharmacists) but his brother decided to marry instead so my partner (they're identical) used the visa instead for a year out. But then he met me and stayed for 10 years, working and paying taxes the whole time. I know it is ilegal to not use your own id and I don't condone that but when they let rapists and terrorists stay but want to deport him even though we are clearly a genuine couple. I now some people fake marriages for visas but surely being together for 7 years and having a 4 year old son together and paying a fortune for a big Catholic Church wedding is a little sign that this is not a sham relationship!

I'm sorry for ranting, I can hardy remember what I've said! I've been cleaning for hours and the last time I was this stressed and sleep deprived I had a newborn! Sorry again. I think I seriously need some sleep...

hun im sorry for the stress and the authorities will recognise its not a sham as you have a baby and have lived together and are having a massive planned wedding...
however i would reccomend you are careful as to what you post online.
you never know what people work as huni, and people who work in law enforcement or immigration have strong contracts to uphold the law and the comments that you made about your h2b using his bros visa isnt exactly something you want out there!!

Thanks everyone. It's ok Melvis, they already know about him and the whole story. His appeal was refused and we're just waiting now for them to deport him (we don't know when) but probably in the next 2 months and then we all have to go to India and reapply from there. Trouble is we won't have a case unless I have a full time job and my work contract ends on 28th August so I really have to find another one! I'd better get some sleep now because I'm getting married in the morning! xxx
