woke up this mornin to some awful news... a friend of mine is in hospital followin takin the so called legal highs! by what i can gather its rather quite serious! I am so anti drugs n cant believe this stupid drug is still legal, i just hope this isnt gonna be another one gone too soon! H2B has no sympathy as its drugs i do see where hes comin from n i reckon id be the same if it werent someone we knew, so cant really speak to him as thats all i get its his own fault no sympathy.. x His sister has just sent me a message sayin hes lost his sight n theyve found black masses on his brain, hes bein flown to walton hospital this mornin x

These legal high contain so much rubbish of course they are gonna do you damage. As with the illegal drugs, the stuff that people mix into them are really lethal. Hence why I have not felt the need to try them myself!

thats so awful steffi!! I have never even heard of this drug what is it??? I don't have a great deal of knowledge about drugs what so ever and all the different names etc for them confuse the hell out of me I am totally clueless which I think in a way is a good thing and I would never ever be tempted to take anything either. I remember seeing a photo in the paper when I was younger of someone lying in hospital after having taken drugs attached to all these tubes and wires etc and I just always thought that if I did ever take anything only once that would be me on that hospital bed and I would never take that chance. x

Oh Steffi... im really sorry to hear about your friend....... these things are proper leathful... why cant people stick to a bit of puff now a days if they want a high.... I understand about the no sympathy ...but i guess he generally thought it would be ok if its legal.... i really hope there no long lasting damage and his sight regains xx

if its plant food then its Methadrone, which was recently made illegal. However, some "legal highs" like NRG1 etc actually contain components of illegal drugs like MDMA, which obviously makes them illegal too!

This legal high it just a mix of illegal drugs and because they're relatively new the way they've mixed them hasn't been tested or made illegal yet. you can do it with anything, mix up some illegal drugs with something you can buy over the counter and voi la it's legal.. It works something like that anyway.. So in actual fact the legal highs could very well be more dangerous than illegal highs!!
Steffi, I hope you're ok hun, And I hope your friend gets better, everyone makes mistakes and if he makes it through then at least he's unlikely to do it again.. I know what you mean about drugs hurting people.. My uncle died of a herion overdose, He'd collapsed every vein in his body except his jugular.. and when he died he turned an off purple colour, and people had to see him like that (to identify him, say goodbye, ect..) So I know the hurt it can cause.. But I just hope your friend is ok, and that he then has learnt his lesson.. Big Hugs And well wishes to you!! Sounds like you need then! <3 x

The Government are trying to make them illegal. However that doesn't stop people taking the illegal ones. I watch a friend of mine commit suicide at 18 on LSD.

It's amazing the cr@p people will take :( I did some research on this stuff a few weeks ago, seen it on mentioned by someone on Facebook a couple of weeks ago and I was interested to see what it was/what it did - tends to be a mixture of methadrone, plant food and ketamine........ooh - 2 illegal drugs and a substance poisonous to humans, I can see the attraction of taking it (yeah right) Sounds like you're friend got suckered in by the fact that technically it's still legal here as an independent substance, and he wouldn't be the first :( What's happened to him is the worst of the worst side effects. I hope and pray he'll be ok and that when he comes through this he'll have learnt a very valuable lesson!! Am keeping all of you in my thoughts.
I don't advocate drugs, I've seen what they can do but if you must take them then do your homework on the substance first!! xxx

I'm not clued up on drugs at all are we talking 'plantfood' as in baby bio?.....I cant understand the mentality of people that take stuff that could potetially kill them surely the 'high' you get cant be worth it xx

It's a compound found in most off the shelf plant foods so I suppose you could compare it to drinking a bottle of baby bio or Mr Fothergill's or whatever. The compound used is amazing to plants but even the slightest overdose is lethal to humans - and dealers being dealers they don't really care how it's cut as long as they make a few quid :( xxx

I cant understand why ANYONE would want to shove something up their nose/stick in their arm something that isnt vicks or drugs administered by a hospital.... its asking for trouble and they know the risks before they do it.
Sorry if i sound harsh, but ive no sympathy for anyone who does this kind of shite.
The families are the ones that suffer and that is not fair in the slightest.

No more news on him.. but plant food n NRG-1(? not sure if thats the right name) has now been made illegal on the island...Altho I doubt it will make much difference to most of the people who take it.. Im waitin to hear more from his sister shes just got back from walton hospital after visiting x

I dont get it, but i try not to get too worked up about things like this now, as hard as it is not too.. I lost my best frien 5 years ago to heroin, she was still under the care of social services n was in one of their homes when she died. I think the island is a joke when it comes to drugs, nohin seems to get done till something like this happens they'll do a couple of raids n then its back to normal business so to speak.. Also before she died she asked for help, n they told her to come back when shes 18.... She died just after her 17th birthday! Its a joke! sorry for the rant x
