Does anyone know which Greek Islands allow you to get married on the beach? Or has anyone married on a beach in one of the Greek Islands without having to go the town hall to marry, if you have been able to marry directly on the beach please could you advice on which Islands???
My Fiancé and I were hoping to marry on a beach in Skiathos unfortunately we have just found out that you only have your blessing on the beach but marry at the town hall in the morning, which was thoroughly disappointing for us!
Many Thanks
Michelle

it is the same for nearly all the greek islands i think hun, we looked into it and found the only way to do it is town hall in the morning & beach in the afternoon, that is what we are doing in Kos. What they told us was that it is only legalised in certain buildings (church, town hall etc) so it is literally paperwork done in the hall. They even told us we can go in beach clothes and would be in there 15 mins tops, and then the beach is the ceremony! xxx

Yeah I think it is the same for all Greek Islands - we were planning on getting married in Zante but it put us off!
So basically you get 'married' on the beach then sign the official papers the next morning? Is that what happens as we were thinking of getting married in Kefalonia.
Met in 2009
Got together on12th May 2011, proposed on the 12th May 2013
