I'm hoping someone might be able to help on here...
We're getting married in 2 months (1 Aug) and now decided that we do want a wedding video after all! We have not budgeted for this (initially thought that a photographer would be enough), so really don't have much to spend, but if we are paying for this at all, we want something decent - someone professional with suitable equipment and a good eye for what to capture. We don't necessarily expect a full length edited version of the video, would be happy with just a 10 minute highlights film and the unedited footage. What's important is to have the whole day captured; we can get the editing done later once we saved up some more money.
Can anyone recommend someone talented, relatively cheap and reliable who is available on 1 Aug? I know this is a lot to ask for, but perhaps someone who recently started out as a wedding videographer would be perfect..
I hope someone can help!

Contact your local colleges, there may be a student studying this that is willing to do it

Do you have any friends who could help out? A few of mine make silly videos and I asked two of them earlier this week if they would film our wedding for us, and we'd pay them in beer.

I agree local collages are a good place to ask but dont forget to ask the tutor for their recommendations

There's a company that will hire out camcorders for you and your guests to make the videos and then you send it all back to them and they do all the editing. I'm not sure what its called though. Colleges is a good idea too. X
