This is a pic of my wee mammy who spent the lead up to my wedding thinking about absolutely everybody else and anytime I asked about her outfit she said not to worry she’d find something – which meant she hadn’t really looked but would get around to it when everything else was done.
Three weeks to go: wedding is all organised and my mum still had no outfit! Luckily we are about the same size, so I set about a plan to run around the shops and try and put together a list of options. I tried on the pretty much entire store in Catherine’s of Partik! There were lots of dresses I liked and one I loved, so I put it on hold – all the while wondering if this was a bit crazy!
Then, I rang mum and said umm…I have made you an appointment for a fitting on Monday, is that okay?! When we went into the store, mum only tried on two dresses (we didn’t tell her which one was on hold) but believe it or not she picked the one I had as well. Same taste! We were in and out the store in less than an hour! Absolutely no fuss and yet, I think she looks really beautiful in this dress.
I can’t really come close to saying thanks to mum for keeping me sane and doing things for me before I even realised they needed done, but I’m having a go at this competition to win the cost of her dress back (which closes in a week – now who is last minute?! You are very lucky to have such a nice mum, and that you found her a lovely outfit but unfortunately links are not allowed on the forum, and neither are "vote for me" topics
