My overseas wedding is in less than 3 weeks. Two weeks ago we sent out an email to all who RSVPs 'yes' to double check they are all set for our wedding in case anybody needed help with hotels etc and we had to confirm final numbers with the venue. Only one person got back to us saying the can't make it. Great. We did the seating plan and confirmed numbers with the venue. This week.... 12 ppl contacted us to say they can't make it... I understand plans change but we sent our save the dates last June and invites in January and they all RSVPs that they are coming. Considering the wedding is abroad and flight and hotel bookings are needed I really don't understand how you can leave it till 3 weeks before the wedding to cancel! In all honesty I feel so deflated right now... Let down and quite frankly disrespected ... Do I really mean so little to my 'friends' that they didn't even bother to let me know they can't make it? Once some cancellations came through we actively messaged all guests individually to double check attendance and that is when some came back with ' oh so sorry can't make it'. So if we didn't text them we would only find out on the day seeing all the empty chairs... Do they not realise how expensive weddings are??? Not to mention stressful to organise!?! Argh. How are you dealing with this? What do I even say to these people? Am I the only one this is happened to? I can't be!

Oh Hun I really feel for you, I found out some people weren't attending my wedding 3 days before and like you it was only because we were confirming meal choices etc. I think it's incredibly rude but you have to try and put it to one side, as to what to say to them DONT SAY ANYTHING ... leave it to them to come to you.
