i know most church weddings have rehearsal dinners. From what I can gather, that does not happen with a hotel wedding but I thought it would be nice to get the family together for one last time to enjoy ourselves and just run thorough any key issues of the day. Is anyone else doing this? Where can we go either in the cheshire area or north wales? Thanks

Sorry I can't help you with ideas to go - but we had a small wedding in Gretna, and the night before we decided to meet everyone (about 14 of us) at the local pub/restaurant for a meal and a 'get to know you' evening as the two families didn't all know each other. It was a really good idea because people who we wouldn't have even put together got on really well and it really helped for the wedding the next day. Hope you find somewhere.

we just want the immediate family there as a nice informal meal but with the occasional business talk so everyone who has a role in the wedding who is unsure, can talk about it and do a last min run through of roles and responsibilities etc. we will do that the fri, then sat is spa day and overnight pamper at the venue, then sun is wedding day oooooo

I would just go for a nice, but not too expensive restaurant - even a pub meal if you want to keep things relaxed. Our wedding rehearsal is the afternoon before the wedding and I think we're just going to go to a table table restaurant just over the road from the church afterwards x
