Does anyone know of anywhere cheap in leicestershire or lincolnshire that we could rent to put a marquee on for the reception? x

It will either be the church in Grantham or the church in Anstey, which is just outside of Leicester. x

I was looking into hiring a marquee etc and didn't get very far! Is there no-where that you could have the reception that already has a marquee? I know to hire them costs alot (I was quoted £5000) and you will also need to hire a generator, toilets, caterers tent, bar etc. I have managed to find a venue that has everything and they are only charging me £750 plus vat. If you are set on hiring a marquee you could contact the council, as they rent land out when the fair and circus come. You could also contact some farmers.

If you've got one you can use, that will save you loads. If I was you I would set a day aside and just drive around the area you are having your ceremony and see if there is anywhere suitable for it and take it from there. Just bare in mind you will need an electricity supply, toilets and caterers.
