Were not writing our own as such but we are adding a bit. Found this on a site:-
"________, I promise to be a good and faithful husband to you, and also a patient, loving father to (children's names), caring for them and providing for them as my own. I promise to be their strength and their emotional support, loving them with all my heart forever."
The children—now part of a loving blended family—can then repeat “We do" after these words:
"And now, (children's names), do you promise to love and respect your parent's new husband Do you promise to support their marriage and new family? Do you promise to accept the responsibility of being their children, and to encourage them and support them in your new life together?"
So we will be adding this to our vows, then h2b will give them a special necklace each which you can get also on the site when he gives me my ring :-)
(necklace on my profile, i think)

Ha, no way I'm writing any extra vows - just the legal stuff for me.
Might do a speech though, but I'm worried about how many speeches there will be..

I have found a really nice poem to go before the legal bit of my vows. And I am writing a poem for my speech just like you Dove.
Its: I love you Not only for what you are, But for who I am when I am with you. I love you Not only for what you have made of yourself But for what you are making of me I love you for the part of me that you bring out; I love you For putting your hand into my heaped-up heart and passing over all the foolish, weak things that you can't help dimly seeing there, and for drawing into the light All the beautiful belongings that no one else had looked Quite far enough to find. I love you because you, Are helping me to make of the lumber of my life not a tavern, but a temple; Out of the works of my everyday not a reproach but a song. I love you Because you have done more than any creed could have done to make me good and more than any fate could have done to make me happy. You have done it, without a touch, without a word, without a sign. You have done it by being yourself. Perhaps that is what being a friend means, after all.

These are mine to Adam, we're doing our own as I said before but not letting each other see them :)
Adam, I don't think you could ever know how truly special you are that even on the darkest nights you are my brightest star.
I have dreamed my whole life of having someone as wonderful as you love me the way you do.
You bring happiness, joy, laughter & smiles to each of my days, I do not know what I would have done without you, you complete me in a way I never thought could be possible.
We share so many dreams & hopes for the future & I can not wait to make them reality with you.
Mo Anam Cara, tugaim mo chroí duit go deo. (I wanted some gaelic in it part of my ancestry)
I take you Adam Hossfeld to be my husband from this day forward.
I love you x

I may do a speech-unfortunately I have a vision of it in my head! It starts-"fank u for coming" in a very high pitched squeaky voice and then just deteriorates from there! Can't wait! lol

I'd love to hear it Dove x

In the sixth year of our relationship My pidgeon gave to me THIS GOLDEN RING Five hour journeys To be with him forever Three love letters from the Army The gift of togetherness And his friendship for eternity
This is the final verse I've written- I'm sure you can work out the first five.
