Hey ladies,

So it was my FIRST wedding dress shopping trip today.

First we went to Karen Lesley, which had a Mori Lee designer day on. I tried approx 8 dresses on there, and fell in love with Arabella, but I dont know who it was made by, it was more or less the benjamin roberts dress 2058A. Anyway, I really thought this was the one, but went on to Liverpool bridal gallery as I had made an appointment. So we drove all the way through liverpool (my family live in Deeside in north wales) and finally got to the shop. We were welcomed in and I picked out a couple of dresses. Mostly Hollywood Dreams ones, as that was what I had set my heart on originally.

I tried on a couple before them, then tried on really massive hollywood dreams ones, and found I didnt want it toooo big. So then tried on the dress I thought I had fallen for, and then actually didnt feel anything once I had it on. I mean, it was a gorgeous dress, but I didnt feel that buzz.

The lady then said, 'Kim, I think you will LOVE this next one'. It was 'Lydia' by Hollywood Dreams. Because I had tried on the others, and found I didnt like the feel of them, I wasnt as excited to try this one on. Boy am I glad I did! As soon as she slipped it over my head and I looked into the mirror as she was tugging at the ribbon tying me up, I knew. I felt like a princess, and looked like one too! I then come out of the dressing room to show everyone, and they loved it too. The lady from the shop said I looked like snow white.( I am pale skinned, with dark hair). This was soo spooky, as when my mum was alive, she used to call me Snow White. After that I couldnt put the dress back! I had fallen in love. She then took me to the big mirror and added a simple tiara and a long glittery veil. It looked perfect! The veil was covered in swarovski crystals, the same as my dress. It was gorgeous. I made my mind up instantly!

I LOVE MY DRESS :)

-Sorry ladies, the shop wouldnt let me get any photos...its apparently copy right! Grrrrr.
But I will add some other photos of the other dresses I tried, when I am back in work on Tuesday.

Glad everyone likes it. Having a bit of a nightmare as my mother in law really had a face on here whilst we were there and I was in the dress, and she didnt agree with me getting a reduced dress. The dress was in the sale, and was massively reduced because of a slight tear at the very bottom of the dress. This has been playing on my mind, and my Nans mind, even to the point that my Nan is travelling from wales to liverpool on the train tomorrow to go and see it again! :(

I want to go and see it to, but wont have chance until end of november :( xxxx

It was perfect on me, so only needs taking in round the bodice.

I think it looks great the way it is, i think train's can sometimes get in the way lol or have you thought about having a catherdral length veil? That way you have a train and when it gets too much you can just take your veil off!

Wow that is a stunner of a dress! Beautiful. And if you love it and you feel like a princess that's all that matters, everyones going to have different opinions. I think its a beautiful dress, but its not one that I would pick. But if we all had the same dress/wedding it would be boring forum! haha. xx

Ok, so I went back to see my dress last weekend...and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I put the whole lot on again, and tried on a new tiara, although I am wearing it wrong in the photo! lol.

Pictures arent fab, because they were rushed because we wernt really allowed to take any. But I will pop them into my photo album anyway :)

Dont care about MIL anymore, my conclusion is that she is just jelous hehe.

That is a gorgeous dress, ignore anyone who says its horrible or passes bad comments about it you can tell by the look on your face its 'the dress', hope it makes you feel like a princess on the day :D x x

Hey ladies! Thank you for all your lovely comments! @ future mrs midgley, I hadn't thought about long gloves really! Would I take them off once I got down the aisle? Ahhh thank you, I really don't think I am photogenic, but people do say that sometimes! Hehe! Its the dress that does it I think ;) xxx

I think you would keep them on until the ring part. Your h2b can take them off for you, that would be sweet. Then I think he would then hand them to the best man or moh. I think you would put them on again when you get outside. x
