    im havin a problem i am def having my kids at the wedding but at my reception the hotel manager is saying that they will count children in with the guests and litrerally everyone i am inviting has at least 1 child so if i have 100 ppl then there prob b about 50 kids there so that will count as 150 but i would rather have adults there, but then i know what they will b sayin she got her kids here? i went to a wedding not so long ago n the bride said no children r allowed to come apart from her family, i dont no how to say it to ppl cause i would personally feel horrible but i need to do it please help xxxx

    I would think that its up to you.
    Family children are children you know. I think it's perfectly acceptable to request no-one else brings children!

    Can you not explain that they will be counted and you have other adults who obviously want to attend but are limited to numbers if you have loads of children, if you tell people now they can arrange baby sitters in time x

    I think a simple 'no children please' on the invite.
    If you invite someone + partner they shouldn't assume their children are involved too, and if someone is annoyed that their children aren't invited, they should try throwing a party and putting the number of guests they thought they'd have and double it for people with a few kids!
    I would not really go into details with people. No children please should send the message out :-)

    I would go with. "Due to number resrictions with the venue we can not invite children unless they are immediate family"
