I'm using the dance floor until evening guests start arriving! Keeps them out the way while we all catch up, not been altogether for @ 5 yrs, so we've left a big gap of about 1 and a half hours after speeches, b4 evening, so caterer can sort out tables and we can get photos with eveyone! My daughter and almost step-son will keep them all entertained and then their parents will have to after that, lol xx

we will have to see asbwe ave so many young kids one 5 and ahalf year old(might be 2 of them), one 6year old, one will be 2 by than (not born yet), the twins who will be 13/14, one 17/18 and the rest will be all over 20 by than so guess we will put the twins to look after the little ones :D

Step-son, big kid he is, will be 19, daughter 17, boy 16, girl 12, daughter 9, boy 8, son 5 and nephew will be 3 (but up to my sis if she wants him there, she'll have to keep him amused as he's a spoilt brat)

Ok, we're having little goodie bags with mini games, colour book pencils/crayons and now (thank you Hails!!!) photo hunt! We've got inflatable 10 pin bowling, giant snakes and ladders and either giant darts or giant ludo! (thinking darts will prob be easier for the little ones) And that, hopefully should see them through? xx

I think the idea is totally brilliant - though difficult with kids in this day and age. My 3 1/2 year old son is so used to taking pics with a digital camera he'd be very frustrated with a disposable one. He would just dismiss it - I think it's a hard task for little ones but could be fun for over 6s.

we plan to do this. How we are gong to work it is each child gets a small paper gift bag with thier name on. In it will be a dispoable camera, a business sized card, a stamper pen, a name badge saying "photographer" and a list of photos wanted. FOr the younger ones they wont have a list but a picture board.
Each time they take one of the listed photos they use the stamper pen to mark it off, then when thier card is full they go and exchange thier stamped business card for thier larger gift bag, which will also have a peronsalised balloon, a certificate to say "offical wedding photographer" and some other bits and bobs.
Remember : To the world you may be just one person,
BUT to one person you may just be THE WORLD x x x

CommentAuthorClarabella
I showed this to h2b to see what he thought of it and said it was a good idea but we cant have it. I never actually took into account that the kids we're having at our wedding that will be able to take part in it wont be able to read much as they will be 6ish so i think thats probable a bit much but if they got someone to read it for them then they would be sorted

I'm ok because my eldest will help the little ones but we did consider picture cards!

We are giving the disposable cameras to the 14 kids we have between 7 and 15 years old. Think I have finally decided on this and my list of photos:
I am your camera, so scavenge around, hunt for those pictures that need to be found! Shoot away and complete the list, find moments that the Photographer may miss. Snap away as best as you’re able, then leave me in the Postbox with your name on the label!
Take a picture of yourself first!!!!! Bride and Groom Someone pulling a funny face* A couple kissing, (not the bride and groom!) A family photo A group photo pulling silly faces The bridesmaids The Pageboys The mother and father of the bride The mother and father of the groom The cake Someone sticking their tongue out The smokers outside Someone laughing Child under a table Biggest smile People hugging Tallest person Someone at the bar Bride & Groom when they think no one is watching Groom with a drink Your friends being silly Someone posing for the camera Funniest Dancer The groom and bestman
They will also have enough left to take some snaps of their own.

Racheyroo this is what I'm doing but just for the kids so it gives them something to do plus I wouldn't count on the quality of the disposable cameras being too great to be honest! This way less of them to develop which will cost a fortune! We have done blank CD's for the adults to put there pics on as everyone these days have dig cameras and mobiles these days

Theres also a few wedding apps that are for guests to upload their pictures to so you can access them. This is something that we are looking into and have registered for this.
