I was planning on doing gift bags for the kids that are coming to our wedding but dont really know what to put in them? The oldest is going to be 9 and the youngest is 1. The majority of the kids are really young about 3 years old ish so i cant really send them around with a list of photos to take as they wont be able to read anything so any ideas as what to put in them?

I was also needing some ideas that will keep them happy and quiet during the speeches and during the meal cos i know they are going to get bored sitting for that length of time

Yeah, we're going to put colouring ad puzzle books in. for the younger ones, there's those painting books that you just use water on and the picture appears. maybe a little think of play doh? or building bricks/lego. The pound shops are brilliant for stuff like this :) x

i have the gift bags for the kids coming to my wedding, they re mixed gender and age...i have some little sewing cards you get...easier ones for the littler hands and more trickier for the older ones, also i have paper mache masks (any craft store sell these) and i will put age appropriate decorations in there so they can decorate their own little masks to wear during the evening do. Colouring and the little paint with water books you have mentioned already, .....what about setting up a small treasure hunt using picture cards? a well known chain of toy shop are ace for the party bag things, just dont get anything noisy! lol :D
personally i am not bothering with the one year old as its too much hassle thinking she will choke on it etc...its up to the parent to entertain a child of that age in honesty (hope that dont offend)
    xxx

Im making gift bags for the 4 little ones i have coming. Ive bought colouring and sticker books, bubble, toy cars for the boys, princess wands & my little ponies for the girls. I have found some cheap websites that do party bag fillers for under 50p and under £1. so am only spending about £3-4 in total on each bag.

my friend got married recently and for her flower girls instead of having bouquets she got giant chuppa chup filled with normals sized lollies and put a bow on them - might be a bit too much but if you were doing a colouring table you could do a couple of decorated ones and put them there for the kids to help themselves - I also got some ideas from an american bridal site - made up colouring/activity books - I can email if you like.

I think the colouring books will be a good idea as it will keep them calmly entertained. I'm filling little glass kilner jars with dolly mixture or jelly beans (depending on age) for each child to be similar to the sugared almond boxes handed out to the ladies. xx

We're making our own personalised Wedding Activity books for the kids with a mixture wedding associated puzzles, colour by numbers, crosswords etc & crayons aswell, don't need to give them sweets because there are going to be 2 mini sweet trees on each table.
