(MODS - Not sure whether to put this in Rants or Help but as it's mostly ranting, I have put it in Rants. Feel free to move it)
H2B has a daughter from previous relationship aged 8 and we have a 3 year old daughter together and both are our only young BMs. H2B has barely asked for anything in this wedding but it would mean a lot to him that both girls are in matching dresses which all seems well and good except for the fact that his ex-wife has basically let their daughter go and she has put on a fair bit of weight so is now plus-size!! The sizes of clothes she wears varies from shop to shop but on average she is in 11-12 years clothes, now we have a tight budget and are looking to spend no more than roughly £80 in total for both dresses but it's causing a lot of stress for me as most places will have the perfect dress that will fit our daughter but not his and vice versa, I have looked into some American sites but his daughter and her mum did not like the dress I suggested, not only that, apparently satin is bad for younger BM dresses as it creases so easily!!! We found a nice one from a Chinese seller but I was not happy with their feedback so am really apprehensive about buying that one and H2B agrees it's best to steer clear from that one too!!
I am getting really wound up with this now as we want to buy them next week but are still no closer to finding an ideal dress (never mind a perfect one)!!
    Can anyone please help??
We need them in lilac. I can put up measurements if anyone needs them??
    Thank you ladies. xxxxx

Do they have to be lilac????
Assuming that you have tried all the high street stores??
Check out Monsoon, they do a pretty cream ivory dress that goes up to a size 13-14 and it flares from the top so wont be tight fitting.

Definitely needs to be lilac as the Adult BMs dresses are already bought and are lilac. The girls would look out of place if they were a different colour.
I have tried Monsoon, Primarni, Asda, Tesco and H&M. Not sure where else to try but am open to suggestions?? xxx

We were toying with the idea of white with lilac sash but that is last resort as I think the sash would draw attention to the waistline of H2Bs daughter. xx

A lot of bay of e sellers do custom dresses - so if you found a style which would suit them that is modelled on adults they'd make it smaller for you I'm sure :)
Find a seller with nice dresses and good feedback and ask them? xx

my flowergirls were 11 and 7 and i had them made to measure from China via bay of e...they were not too expensive and they do them in all sorts of colours ans styles..basically they will do what ever you want as long as you have a picture and accurate measurements..there are pics on my profile in my albums...in the actual wedding photos there are pictures of the girls actually wearing them. If you want the link i can post it for you. xxx

I would go back to the h2b and ask if he really wants them in the same dress. After all at the age of 8 she is getting bigger now and I think a teen dress would look more flattering on her and make her feel more grown up and then have the little one in something more frilly. I got two dresses from ebay for £15 for my 3 year old. One is size 3 and the other 4-5 so I know at least one will fit her and it solved the problem of expense for me. BHS do some nice lilac dresses for teens so it would make her feel more grown up like the others.

Have put a link on your wall of a dress from Debenhams that could maybe do them both and has been reduced to under £20 each. xx

NWRIGHT - In town tomorrow so will have a look, Thanks for that. xx
RICKY - How long did they take between ordering and arriving?? xx
JO - It's getting to that point, found loads of lovely ones on Bay of E but they either had them in our daughters but not his size or in his daughters not ours size, I wanted to give him that as he has not asked me for hardly anything else in this wedding and when he married his ex, he didn't get a say in anything, she even chose his best man!!! xx
SPOONEY - Thank you, had a look but it's too dark, we want a lighter lilac than that. Thank you anyway. xx

If I remember rightly I think it was about 3 weeks...i had them custom made so it took a bit longer..I think that if you have the stock sizes it only takes 5-8 days.

After an extensive trawl through all possible shops in Plymouth and online, we decided to go with the original one from the Chinese seller that we were originally apprehensive about.
They give 3 options for delivery, the 1st is standard and can take anything from 11 to 30 business days, the 2nd is via a delivery service which appears to be kinda like the Chinese version of DHL which is for a slightly higher charge but should take between 7 and 12 business days, and the 3rd is via UPS which has a higher charge again but will take 4 to 7 business days but you may have to pay customs fees and some other fees on top.
We decided to go with Option 2 but messaged first asking how much more it would cost and they replied saying that as we were ordering 2 at the same time, we could have otption 2 at no extra cost!!
We ordered and paid for them both yesterday lunchtime (Wednesday) and I got an email into my inbox at around 3 am this morning saying they had been shipped!!!!
Will keep you all updated. xxx

Momari, It was the same seller you posted on my wall so thank you. xx

Got the tracking number from the seller the day after and have been checking it numerous times every day. There was a post on Friday (22nd) saying it had departed from the location in Shenzhen but had nothing more all week until today!!!
The dresses have now arrived in London and by my (and H2Bs) estimates, they should arrive either Saturday or Tuesday!!!!
    So excited!!!!
Especially seeing as my daughter has been asking me every day where her dress is and asking to see it!!! lol.
Will let you know when they arrive and how they are. xxx
