I'm leaving for honeymoon 2 days after the wedding and feel sad thinking my flowers will be dead when I get back and I was wondering if anyone knew of ways to preserve them? I can give this job to my maid of honour.

    Thanks :)

    Here comes the bride......

I'm looking into preserving but think it's too pricey for me.

I might press a rose or too. Or frame a nice photo of them.

This doesn't really help, but one idea is to buy/order a small (and obv cheaper) bouquet/bunch of your wedding flowers every year for your anniversary. I read that and thought it was a nice idea.

I looked into bouquet preserving and it was well in excess of £100 for a bouquet - not sure you could do it yourself as it involves freeze-drying :s)

I'm still hoping i can make a paperweight with liquid resin. My SIL has done it a few times so hoping she'll help me. It's not as nice as glass but will cost £15 max.

I also kept a rose once in a small gift box and a few months later found it and it looked pretty good still! so I framed it in a box frame and it's really nice.

could you not dry them or do you want them to still look fresh?? to dry them all you have to do is hang them upside down until they are dry :)

or you could press them?? flower presses aren't too expensive

I think the difference with freeze drying is that it keeps the colour - when you dry them they lose the colour, plus it would depend on the flowers, some dont dry too well and will go mouldy - i imagine you would have to separate them to to dry them properly
It depends - if you just want to keep a couple of the flowers as a memento diy would be fine but if you wanted the bouquet in its entirety i think you would have to get it done professionally
