i havent a clue about wedding flowers. i went to the local florist and she wasnt remotely helpfull but i just dont know what i want, i know i dont want many im not big on flowers and cant justify spending that kind of money on something thats gonna die but i hate fake flowers.... i know i dont want any red anywhere in my wedding at all and the wedding colours are black, ivory and silver its at xmas also. i want something a bit different too cuz the flowers always look the same and i dont want mine too. god im picky

Look in mags and on google wedding flowers in your colours and see what you like. If you don't want many, just go for the bouquets and buttonholes and have something different for centrepeices and decorations.

I've decided on Wild flowers and hope to grow them myself if I can. It's cheaper and my garden will lokk lovely for a bit. Not sure how feasable it would be in the winter though. x

instead of flowers couldnt you use the twig things you can get around xmas...theyre usually covered in glitter and stuff, for xmassy arrangements, then get some little jewels and ribbon or something from a craft shop. i think you can the twigs in silver, black, blue, red, gold...i know your not having some of those colours but i thought i would throw them in as an example! x

hi, i would say if you fancied something a little different ask your florist........ nice flowers like calla lillies and/or roses, but maybe add some of the "christmas sparkle" - (i call it) - but there like wooden items on the end of sticks - they come in balck and normally have silver glitter on them - mixing them in will make it look a bit different. we have also had a normal bouquet and put it into what i can only describe as a metal silver "nest" - you sit the flowers in it, and it had little pealrs threaded into the silver twines - this is a bit different. depending how "christmassy" your willing to go with it being a christmas wedding, or are you trying to avoid it being overally "christmassy?" - you could add black and silver shniney xmad tree baubles in different sizes to mkae your bouquet also - that would certainly be a bit different. you could even have a "normal" bouquet with black feathers around the edge either maybe. there are quiet a few "different" ideas a florist could come up with (if you didnt find your helpfull, why not try asking another one, at the end of the day its your wedding and your florist should be someone who you feel comfortable with and happy with!) pussy willow is nice too......... and a bit different lol!! i could go on forever!! hope it helps, love mrs bouquets xxx
