Just booked the flights for our minimoon in Spain.
Just cannot wait. My best friend, her husband and their daughter (our goddaughter) live there and we're going to stay with them for 10 days after our wedding which is just fantastic! Can't wait and already counting down the days! 319 to go!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!
Think it's the next best thing to happen next year ha! Can't imagine what the first best thing is

Fabulous!! a 10 day mini-moon is impressive, I can only get my H2B to sign up for 4 so we're heading to the lakes - then around September it's a 2 week honeymoon somewhere as yet undecided - but it's going to be tropical, south of the Equator and hot hot hot!!
CommentAuthorJill
Minimoon lol mine is only 4 days longer. That's great for you hun. I fancy a wee 2 day mini-moon for me and h2b on our own prior to the honeymoon but we've only got 4 days between wedding and familymoon so maybe not x
29th September 2012
Cant wait to be Mrs D!
CommentAuthorSijen
Ha it's a minimoon that started as 5 days and stretched to 10 lol.
Laura, a minimoon is just a mini break not quite a honeymoon as we're having a 'proper' honeymoon the year after so staying with our friends for a wedding destress lol.
hmmm this post has just given me an idea for a 'minimoon'.
We were gonna ask for holiday vouchers as gifts and put it towards a 2 weeks break in thailand but won't be able to book it until we have the vouchers so now thinking of doing a minimoon after the wedding as well (greedy me wanting all this time off lol) x

That's so exciting :0) Mine will be far less exotic - we were given some hotel vouchers for our engagement so we're having a weekend away somewhere British, lol

That's fab!! Our honeymoon is 10 days lol. When we get back we are having a sort of mini/family moon with our kids - probably here in the UK... Mablethorpe is the fave.
Never been to Spain, but sure you'll have a fab time

Whoop whoop!
We've just booked our mini-moon!!!
We're going to Mexico in the summer (full-on, all-inclusive, adults only, swim-up suite, luxury and very expensive (gulp!) once in a lifetime holiday) but we wanted a few days away straight after the wedding. Unfortunately I am due back in work on the 19th so a week away in Europe/North Africa wouldn't work (the flights didn't fit). We looked at a villa with a pool on the Algarve, but for 4 nights it was £1,400. Looked at Rome, but it's Easter when we'd be going - too busy! So we decided to go somewhere in the UK (we can drive there leisurely, take the food we'd need, pack as many clothes as we like, plus the Euro isn't all that at the moment...) and today we've booked an all mod-cons wood lodge with a private hot tub in North Devon near a beach. Yippee!!!
07.04.12 - the best day of my life!
Living happily ever after as Mrs Nottage x

MrsWard2b, that's what we're doing :) So we're going down south to stay in a log cabin for 4 nights with our own private sauna and hot tub :D And then later on in the year we're gonna use the vouchers and go somewhere for 2 weeks :)

wow...all these plans sounds so amazing! we haven't been away at all in the past few years so whenever we do decide where the honeymoon will be i am going to be seriously excited!!
CommentAuthorSijen
TBH - with ours, although I am seriously excited for it and we get to see our friends, I am now thinking "when will we get 'us' time and be able to 'act' like newlyweds" heehee - if you catch my drift. Staying in a 2 bed apartment with paper thin walls and their 18 month old daughter (our goddaughter) isn't exactly my idea of a romantic honeymoon lol.

We're having a minimoon, just a couple of days at a posh spa hotel, because we have decided that we are going to save & use the money we get from our presents and have our honeymoon the year after and take the kids aswell x
I'm marrying the man of my dreams xx

ooh spa hotel....!!
CommentAuthorbridalmiss
Woohoo, mini-moon changed from the Lakes somewhere to 3 nights in Portmeirion in Wales, then last week we saw a deal on living social that's 3 nights in a 5 star luxury hotel with breakfast and complimentary spa treatments for £289 - in Marrakech!! Talked to H2B and with flights, it actually works out to be £15 less than the Wales trip - as he was going to book a suite at £299 a night anyway! So we are booked - emailed the hotel to confirm availability for the week after our wedding and they said yes, so all flights and hotel voucher now purchased and we received our confirmations this morning! So exciting! Plus it'll be the first time ever that we'll turn up at an airport and we'll have a car where they're holding up the sign for Mrs X and I can say that's actually me - keep getting sales phone calls asking if I'm Mrs X etc and I always say no!
