We've just booked our honeymoon, I'm so excited!! We're going to Dominican Republic. I assumed it would be really expensive until I saw someone on here booked their honeymoon to DR so I had a look and it was actually reasonably priced and we thought we only get one honeymoon (hopefully!) so it's worth paying a bit more than a normal holiday.

Oooh congratulations, so exciting!!! We booked ours in June for end of may/june next yr, as they only had 4 seats left on the flight!! We're off to florida for 2wks, 1 at WDW (love it!) and then a week relax (honeymoon style) in Clearwater. xx

We're going to Samana but tomson don't land there so there's a 9 hour flight and then a 3 and a half hour shuttle bus trip! I hope it's worth the wait though. Nina - you're villa looks stunning! Have a brilliant time x x

I've always loved the Dominican Republic and always said I wanted to honeymoon there.. H2B however doesn't want a honemoon "just lying in the sun", so looks like we will be going skiing/snowboarding - hopefully Italy, but I'm trying to convince him that we need some time off the slopes! xx

It's the Gran Bahia Principe Cayacoa and we've upgraded to the junior Suite. We're also going to let everyone know that it's our honeymoon to try and bag some freebies/upgrades :P
Helen - They do lots of excursions, maybe do a compromise of hot weather but sporty excursions, surely he can't say no to that! x x

Very true Kirsty, We havea while to think about it yet, and he changes his mind like the weather! So maybe if it continues raining here for a few more months he'll be desparate for some sun! Dont get me wrong I love ski-ing and can be very romantic (theres lots of terms on this i.e. log cabin in the mountain, hot fire, spa sauna etc!) xx

We will be jetting off to Antigua in July 2013 after spending 3 days in London (a place we both love and has so many memories). It will only be our 2nd holiday abroad together so it will be so exciting to spend time together in such a lovely place. x

Sure - we're at the Kuramathi resort, it's Kuoni exclusive but their agents use it too - when we booked we got a deal where it's automatic upgrade to the next available higher accommodation type - there's a dive centre, sunset cruises, loads of restaurants, coral reefs, and we've got the select all inclusive package which means we can pretty much eat or drink what we like! Plus they have movie nights on the beach, you can book to have a private dinner for two on the water's edge etc - sooo looking forward to it!!

We're going to stay in a cottage in the lake district lol!!! We went travelling last yr to Australia, new Zealand, Tokyo and California so just want a week somewhere peaceful and quaint and the cottage is beautiful. :)

No problem - I've done some research since we booked it and lots of people say you can get it cheaper buy booking through a Kuoni agent rather than Kuoni, so search first in case you get a better priced deal x
