I'm so excited, we only got engaged two weeks ago and we've just booked an engagement party for next Saturday, it's starting to feel so real now! I've also just been to my first wedding fayre and got so many ideas about what I want! I also took my mum to see the venue that we both fell in love with earlier this week. Just need H2B to find out about leave from work now so that we can book the reception! So excited!! And I think my mum is even more excited than me!

Very happy to say I'm now Mrs Keates and loving it!

@Ashleigh, we haven't actually booked our wedding yet but we're hoping for it on that date!

@mcquire81, we weren't going to bother with a party either but my H2B is currently working and living in Switzerland so he doesn't get to see family and friends that often so it's a very good excuse to get everyone together! Just need to try to find some time after work this week to sort out balloons etc for the party, maybe booking less than a week in advance was not such a good idea...!

We had the party last night and it was great, I'm so happy how well it turned out! Quite a few family travelled a long way to come which meant a lot to us and it was the first time all of the family have got together but they got on really well. Can't wait to get the wedding booked now!

You should! It was such a good night! We just had an ipod, a nice buffet, amazing cupcakes made by my sister and a room full of people we love, it doesn't need to be anything expensive or fancy!

might manage to organise some sort of engagement bbq in the summer. But its probably a bit late now - we've been engaged 2 years already! Still need to organise something to get our parents to actually meet though, it would be horrific if the first time they met was at the wedding!
