Hiall! Well we got married on 4th June and we had an amazing day! People complimented everything which made me proud as did most of it myself!

We went to Bali for our honeymoon and got a free upgrade at the hotel because it i our honeeymoon! The whole thing was amazing and we just got back yesterday. Still a bit on Bali time hence why I am on here at 4.50am!!

I hope everyone else has a great time.

Oh and for those who followed my 'dancing in the dress thread a while back - It was fabulous! I stood on the back and slipped a couple of times but it was only a small slip an I don't think anyone noticed. I did a choreographed routine with my husband and then followed it with a choreographed father daughter dance and everyone commented how good nd personal (I am a dance teacher!) it made the day!

My advice to everyone would be relax and enjoy it! Give your venue specific instructions for what you want - they are not mind readers, and assign jobs to the wedding party, even little things, for example we asked our best man to look after the pen as we wanted it at the church for signing the register and then at the reception for the guest book. It might seem daft but if you think of the little things and delegate you can relax and not worry about a l thing on the day!

And as for going to the toilet, I developed a method with my sister. She held my train as I walked in to the ubicle forward, I then took off my shoes and knickers and sat the wrong way round on the toilet, she then back out and shut the door while I went then when I had done, I called her back in and we reversed the proceedure. It worked very well and no body got flashed!

We booked the flights through STA and travelled with Qatar for about £1300 ish for both of us return, but then once you are out there it is pretty cheap. For example one night we went to a restaurant and I had 2 pieces of grilled chicken breast with vegetables and potatoes and hubby had a giant sirloin steak and we had 2 drinks and it came to just under £12! Our 2nd hotel was the most expensive and we stayed for 6 nights, got a free upgrade to the club rooms, had 1 evening meal in the resort restaurant, 3 lunches and drinks, a private candlelit 5 course dinner on the beach with a personal waiter and a bottle of wine,and mini bar and room service on last night and the bill for alll that came to £564 which I think is very decent considering the quality and amount of stuff we got! I usually book hotels through sites like booking.com or alpha rooms as you can get pretty good deals. If you do decide to go then tell people its your honeymoon and you might get free stuff all over the place. We got a free glass of wine in a restaurant, free starter etc.

It is a very beautiful country. We stayed in Ubud for the first week and did all the cultural things saw the temples went mountain biking through remote villages and we even got invited to go to a hindu celebration at the temple with a gentleman who worked at the hotel which was amazing. Then the 2nd week we went to sanur and stayed in a luxury resort and we spend the week chilling by the pool and on the beach. We did the sea walker, which is where you go out to sea nd get like a space helmet put on your head and go down to the coral reef and see all the fish. That was really good. We also went to the Elephant safari park in Taro and rode and fed and played with the elephants. That was amazing too!

I would recommend it, it really is a beautiful country and the people are very friendly and will do whatever they can to help you.

Good luck deciding. Like I say its a bit pricey to get there but once you are there everything is pretty cheap.

You buy one as you enter the country for $25 USD, no need to apply before hand. Bali was fabulous and really really beautiful. I would recommend it.
