Congratulations. I'm so jealous. Keeping my fingers crossed for a bridesmaids dresses prize though, with six bridesmaids that would make a huge difference.

See I'm really not saying anything against Jennie, and she's really lucky to have won them both. But shouldn't the system be a bit better as to go to someone who hasn't won yet and give one of those a chance that haven't won and would really like to win the prize. All i mean is that there's some that are desperate to win a prize to help out with their planning, maybe they've had a bad experience with a supplier, maybe they're struggling with savings, but whatever, some of them may never win a prize when there'll be others that could win twice. Just my opinion xxx

    Oooooo yes she was!
It's all done randomly through the computer so it's the luck of the draw I'm afraid! It's the first time since the monthly comp's have started that we have had a 2nd time winner so not bad in nearly 3 years (see list of prizes and winners in the rule thread).
Some people are just extra lucky ......wish I was that lucky lol

VERY well done hunni! Enjoy trying them all on and picking the ONE!

Surely names of previous winners can be removed, or even the draw done again if a previous winner gets something? Given the number of people on here surely you need to make sure as many people as possible get the chance to win something? It's not such an issue for me, as both sets of parents are generous, but for some brides a prize would make a huge difference.

can i just say ..... if you bought raffle/draw tickets and won a prize would you expect any further tickets to be disallowed so that you could only win one prize.?

i really wanted this one but tbh i agree with lala its luck of the draw and if it was me that wwon 2 prizes i would be over the moon! we know when we sign up itsunlikely you will win anything and to be honest for all the support i get from this site £2.50 is more than worth it! if i happen to win a prize too then super if not then so be it :) i dont think it would be fair to remove people if they win for example what if you win a prize you dont particularly need or want then are you still removed ? if you give it back do you get put back in? it would get to complicated. lets just keep fingers crossed that next time it could be you!!!! and jennie enjoy your rings hun from a very jealous me lol

There is no fair way to remove some and not others. As Laura pointed out what if the prize you win is not suitable to you but you're banned from future more suitable draws. And how long would we ban a winner from the draws? 6 months? A year? Indefinitely? A lot of members PAY for PU status so is it fair to expect them to pay the full amount and not receive the full benefits

Yes it is unfortunate on some that we've had a double winner but as Hails pointed out, it's the first such incident in a 3yr history of the draws. And just because someone is in more "need" of the prize does not mean they are more deserving than another member. Everyone deserves a fair shot even if they have won a previous draw. After all they're playing for a different prize each draw... If someone won a set of rings 4 times in a row I'd see the issue...

Anyway! Congrats Jennie. I'll be visiting shortly to rub your head for good luck.

LMC1302 ty for replying babe , with reference to the fact that prizes are big ... i quite often will enter the on tv comps , you know the ones 30 k and a car type thing ..... now if i won this month should i be banned from entering next month ? each time i do its a separate comp/draw ( as it i have never won anything on there or here lol lol )

They are all good points and thinking it through there's no way to really get around it, putting it in the context that you have lala where it being fair on everyone, I guess some are extra lucky than others. xxx

wow not long for her ! she must have left it very late for rings!! although i suppose she could have done what we done we have bought awful rings just for the ceremony just patterned silver ones that i dont even know what they are made off but its just for the symbolism and as i dont have an engagement ring it doesnt need to match anything lol we are planning on buyng our perfect rings when we have saved up like maybe 10 year anniversary after all the important things are done , so i guess if they did the same then she will now get to choose the rings she would actually like which would be lovely for her! does she not come on the forum much?

One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

Jennie is a regular on the forum LauraM9144 :)

And can I just say that I think it is awful the way that some people have reacted on this thread. This forum is here for everyone to support each other not complain because they haven't won a prize or someone else has won more than one. So in a supportive way this thread should be full of congratulations like it has been every other month for every other winner, and if you don't want to say congratulations to the winners then don't say anything at all.

Congratulations Jennie! I hope you and your h2b can pick some gorgeous rings :) xxx

Actually Linzi-jo, if you'd noticed, I had said congratulations to Jennie in the first place and am very happy for her that she's been so lucky as to have won and that it wasn't anything against her, that it was more the system in which the winner was picked but having seen the follow up answers clearly showing that there's no way to possibly make it fair on everyone, I now understand that it is really just down to luck. I wasn't critisising her in any way! xxx

That's fair enough if that's the case and I certainly didn't mean to start anything which took over the congratulations for Jennie, whether or not she won before, she definitely deserves the congratulations on her win this time around and hope she is thoroughly happy with her prize. xxx

No I wasn't aiming it anyone in particular MrsMoran2b so sorry if I caused you any offence. I meant what LauraM has said, that the thread that was normally full of congratulations had started to become a debate about who should win and I know that if it was me that had won and I read this thread then I would be feeling guilty about winning rather than happy, that's all :) xxx

The daft thing is I've never been fussed about the prizes, but everyone gets so excited that I get caught up in it. I am genuinly pleased for Jennie, just really jealous too. Anyway, we may be converting an old family wedding ring for me. What I'd love is a prize for bridesmaids dresses, as I have six of them.
