I know, we're so excited! I had my heart set on it but one travel agents told us to forget about it as it is too far away or a week, so we went to to another one just to see what they could offer and ended up booking, including upgraded flights, complimetary champagne lounge in the airport and a few other treats thrown in, really can't wait!!

So I have a few up dates
had a call on friday that my dress is now in and i need to arrange an appointment for my fitting!!! think it will have to be in the easter hols as all my weekends are booked up.
Went to cardiff yesterday to watch the rugby and ended up buying the necklaces for my bm's only £23 each. will add a pic of them soon. Also went to see my grandmother whilst in SW and have picked up her pearls that im planning on wearing, she said if they didnt look right wiht the dress I can buy new ones and she will pay for them.

Got to get all my invites cut out tomorrow evening so that i can get them posted out soon. xx

Hiya, not been on here for ages now, thought id check in and see how everyones getting on! getting really close now girls, cant believe where the times going, it doesnt seem like two minutes ago we were all excited at the 12month mark!! I have done most of the big things, just waiting on the bridesmaid dresses to come at which point we can get shoes to match have to get my makeup sorted and then the orders of service and need to get my alterations done on my dress but have to wait until paril or may to do that... thats it! Ive received back quite a few acceptances and have done the place cards/menus for each as they come in! I sent my invites out at the end of Feb. Very excited but extremely nervous too :)

Serine I seem to be about the same stage as you too! Our invites went out at the end of Feb too and I get excited each time we get a new RSVP! Sijen I'd say if you can, get them out a bit earlier as ours have been out about 3 weeks now and we've still only had about 1/3 of them back.

I got back from work the other day and H2B announced that he'd written a 'How well do you know the new Mr and Mrs Keates' quiz which people can fill in during the late afternoon/early evening, then we'll rope some cousins/friends in to mark it and give a bottle of bubbly out as a prize! He was so proud of himself, bless him! He wanted to keep it a surprise from me but decided he wouldn't be able to! I've also just booked shoot-it-yourself video cameras which I'm really excited about too.

We still have a lot of decisions to make like readings, hymns, DJ playlist and final menu, but pretty much everything we actually need to do is done. Still got everything to pay off though! Although we do have the money in the bank, it is mainly just a case of writing the cheques and sending them out. I've also not started on table plans or place names but I intend to start over Easter, I hope! My dress should hopefully arrive about Easter time too and I'm so excited about that!

And I've got my hen do coming up soon - we're actually going on Easter Sunday - Monday! I've got no idea what we're doing as my sister has organised it all as a surprise. It's very early I know but as I live in France I had to do it during school holidays, and I don't have another holiday until summer! And then I've got my best friends hen do 5 days later - that I've organised this time!

Easter is going to be busy but great!

So nice to be able to speak to other people in the same boat as me. Especially when loads of friends who aren't married don't realise how much work it takes to make your day the way you want.
I'm getting married on Saturday 14th July and can't wait. A lot of the wedding is DIY to save as much money as possible.
I made all my save the date cards which went out before Xmas and the invites which went out at the beginning of February. My bridesmaids flowers are home made as I have 5 of them which can get really pricey. My dress has been on order since March 2011 and is due in very soon. Had to lose a considerable amount of weight to get into it but i think it's gonna fit..

93 days :|!! Going too fast now. Everyone sorted their music for ceremony? I'm stuck haha xx

93 days for me too! Tomorrow I'm going MOB shopping with my mum and two sisters, and on Tues I'm going for my first dress fitting and taking my two little bridesmaids to order my dress.

And more excitingly, this weekend is my hen do!! It's so early because I live abroad and I knew I was home over Easter. It was supposed to be a complete surprise but I now know we're going to Liverpool but I have no idea what we're doing when we're there!

I think we've pretty much sorted our ceremony music but ours is a church wedding so it has to be hymns. I'm mostly leaving that up to H2B too.

Can't wait for this weekend!

We've got a church wedding too, our hymns are chosen its the music for walking down the aisle, signing the marriage certificate & walking back out lol!! I'm on a mission to get all music sorted tonight while h2b is not here. In peace then discuss when he gets back.

Thanks! I haven't sorted anything, my sister has done everything but I've been assured she has been working really hard so I can't wait to see what has been planned! I've just got back from MOB outfit shopping and I've also got a new dress and accessories for my hen do too!

I've also just booked myself in for a manicure, pedicure and bridal make up trial on Saturday. Getting really excited now!

We finished making our daytime invites today and delivered the first one to my Nan. She was made up and it was so exciting to actually give them out. Wrote out and addressed the remaining daytime invites when we got back and they're all ready to go out next week. Feel really excited about it!

well i'm getting mega stressed out yet again over invites. not finished making them yet but should only take the next week or so but everyone is harrassing me asking where they are and when are they getting an invite!!! I sent out save the dates over a year ago so everyone knows when it is and the hotel has a block booking in our name so they dont have to panic about booking a room either.!!!! just wish they would all shut up!! told H2B that the next person who asks is getting the responce " O everyone who is invited already has one!!! so I guess you didnt make the cut!!! "

Apart from that issue, I have my dress fitting on wednesday and hopefully will find my underwear and the veil to complete my outfit.
Have bought bridesmaids shoes, flowergirl now has everything except shoes which we are leaving till last minute as she is 4 and her feet are growing so fast worried she might grow out of them before we make it down the aisle.
Have picked up the wedding rings last week and they look fab!! cant wait to finally have H2B put it on my finger.
Have the frame for the table plan ready to go and all the stuff for the kids goody bags.

Haylz127 - i'm the same date :) and in pretty much the same boat with the organising. Had my first fitting on saturday was pretty exciting. Sent out the invites yesterday and ordered my veil today. it's really only very little bits to sort out now :) and we only got engaged at christmas lol xx

Hello ladies, Im getting married on 21st July! We have gone for a cadbury purple, ivory with a splash of diamonds colour theme!! We have most things done now church booked (despite having to find another church last month as ours cancelled on us even though we booked over a year ago! because they are having a new roof fitted!!), reception booked, caterer booked, dj booked, photographer booked, SECOND dress brought (now just have to try sell the first 1 lol!!) cars booked (still need to find a cheap limo company for bridesmaids)!
I still need to book my hair and make up and buy rings!!!

I must admit my biggest worry at the moment is paying for it all, After paying all the deposits over a year ago its not hit me i have 1000s to pay and no money left LOL!!

Just had my first no RSVP. Very gutted to be honest. Totally understand but it was important to me that they were there.

I'd be panicking about the dress Jenny but I think the panic would be unfounded. I'm sure it will arrive in time. I still need to book hair and make up and not really sure what I want. That's why I haven't sorted it. My to do list tonight is to sort out the very last of the day invites so I can finally hand them out tomorrow. I've been a bit lazy about the work ones, and also to finish my passport form. I'm getting mine changed over for our honeymoon. I really want to go as a Mrs.

hey ladies sounds like everyone is very busy in these last few months. I have been busy making the invitations and they have taken longer than expected as we are having to cut them all out by hand. Its taking about 30 mins and invite at the moment and we have 65 to make in total day and evening!!
Hopefully they will be finished by friday 5.30 pm to catch the last post so people get them on saturday or monday.

Apart from that we are all sorted, just waiting to hear back from the bridesmaids dresses as they should be in by now and need to book and appointment with the seamstress but cant until i physically have the dresses.

am having my hair cut and coloured tomorrow the last colour before the wedding, and will then book for my hair and make-up trial.

They're lovely Kat. I've just ordered a brooch identical to that on your shoes but for my bouquet.

We've hit 99 days today, I can't believe it! I'm getting really excited now. Mum and I are going for a little MOB dress shop on Saturday to proper MOB shops, she's moaning because although she picked a dress and bolero up on Saturday in Kendel that she loves (I am yet to see it) she won't wear it as "it was only £50!" What is she like? So I'll go on Saturday morning to see the outfit then we can compare it to the official MOB dresses in the shops.

All of our daytime invites have gone out and we have had two formal and one text RSVP back to say YES which is brilliant, although did have one off my friend last week saying No and that was before I'd even posted her invite lol. Haven't written out our evening invites yet but they'll go out next month.

My dress should be in at the end of next month so I wouldn't worry about it Jenny As long as it's in one month before your wedding then its plenty of time. Our rings should also be delivered next month too. Can't wait.

Mellicake, why don't you arrange to see your dress after your essay is done. That way you can concentrate on your essay and fully enjoy the dress moment after? Its only a week after all and the dress can wait that long.

Booked first my dress fitting for 7th June, done the last big batch of day invites, sourced the right colour cravats ( just waiting for BM dresses to arrive so I can confirm) and completed my passport forms this week. Next important job is working on my new signature!

OMG! Bridesmaid dresses arrived today. Wrong colour, wrong fabric, not lined or hemmed properly. Not even had the bridesmaids try them so probably don't even fit either!!!

Could not be more livid......

Oh no Kat... what a nightmare!!!!

I bought them off the Internet as couldn't get the colour I wanted anywhere. So I will be spending sat trawling actual dress shops and the bridesmaids will have to lump what they end up with. I'm waiting to hear back if they will give me a full refund. I don't really want to say goodbye to the money but they can't wear what has been delivered.

I'm more motivated to get it sorted than stressed now I've calmed down. The problem is my shoes and the mens cravats are all waiting on the exact colour of these dresses! It's just disgusting what some people claim is quality!
