i am getting married on 2nd of july 2012

Everyone seems to be doing more then me and have more bits, i have the registry date pencilled in with registry office just got to book notice of marriage now.
found a pub to hold reception just got to go view it and pay deposit
i have my cake sorted but not paid for it yet, i have a flower quote just got to go view the flowers.
family member will be doing are photo's and video recording so will be meeting up with them soon to discuss ideas
we have found the rings we want just waiting for voucher to come through to get them .
I have a me to you quest book, me to you place cards, me to you wedding balloons, me to you cake topper, me to you bride and groom, me to you wedding day invites, me to you car ribbon,
just married 2 pack balloons, 5,000 crystals,

just waiting for xmas to come so i can go dress shopping with my mum,
and also get bm and pb outfits

Wow Clareabella that is so organised! I've got a lot of the big things sorted but not any outfits (even my dress), flowers or cake sorted yet but hopefully most of that will change over the next few years! Then I need to start on all of the little bits!

Wow all so much more organized than me!! Still only booked church, reception venue and dj. Wondering about starting to look for dresses but not sure if it's still too early.

A year tomorrow!!! I'm so excited. It seems like I've been waiting for the date to come this close forever!!

Hi, I've just joined. We haven't managed to speak to the registrar yet, as apparently you can't book anything until it's less than a year before you want to get married. At the moment we're working towards 20th July. As far as preparations go, it's more what I've done than what we've done! We have a best man and 2 bridesmaids. We've also started to look at venues and I've tried on a couple of dresses. I'm also looking at a few designs for save the date cards. I'll feel a lot more confident when we actually have a date though!

god am counting down now r lads getting a little excited ooo it dont seem real i think the nervs r kicking in lready thinking about already lol

definitely!!lol I keep having nightmares about it!! like falling flat on my face whilst walking up the aisle/my dress not fitting on the day/my dress falling down as we are saying our vows!!lol Im thinking im having these stupid dreams cause im petrified!! haha.

LMAO It must be the same for everyone!! Well Ive got a feeling that we are gonna have to get used to it cause I can only imagine they are gonna get worse as the time goes by!! :/ xxx

Are you making your invites yourself? Its a big job but totally worth it!! all the hours ive spent on mine, have really paid off, I love them!! Enjoy :) xxx

This parish thing is a bit silly really!! I dont see what difference it makes! the pa lava we had to go through to get our church, we had to provide h2b's grandparents Marriage Certificate and his mother's Marriage Certificate to prove that they had got married at the church as we are out of the parish! It was like a full on interview for our reasons why we wanted to marry at that church and not in our parish! they then had to send off to some board or other for them to make the decision as to whether we were elegable silly really but hey, rules are rules, I cant complain, we did get the church and the date and time we wanted to were happy, totally worth trying to locate very old wedding certificates!! lol xxx

You have to give notice when it's a civil ceremony (i.e. NOT in a church) - It's the equivalent of having your banns read out in church...

Serine - I was so relieved - anyway, this way our wedding lasts an hour longer lol.

Yes we're making our invitations ourselves, although we've had them professionally printed by the company. They came today and I love love love them...made up to to see how they are. Took me an hour to put together and they're a little bit wonky...good job they'd sent me 2 extra ha...will just be mega careful when putting them together properly.

Oh Gosh Sijen, they are absolutely stunning!! dont worry about the wonkyness, you will have it mastered next time, then all the measurements will be etched into your head!! haha i know each and every measurement for my invites, place cards, orders of service without even looking!! hahaha... ummm.... not obsessive is it??!! lol

Ps - just had a look at your's and they are simply gorgeous...I love the red diamantes with the black and white...well done!

Cheers girls, can't wait to get working on them...as my H2B has advised, we're just going to do a about 5 a night to take our time and get them perfect...rather than get tired and lazy lol.

Yeyyyy - I have a date buddy!! Where are you getting married hun? We were originally 2pm but had to change it to 1pm as it was that or 5pm with registrar! Shocking really - and that's only a provisional booking!

Hi Sijen, I'm getting married at Oakwood Hall in Bingley, west yorkshire!! Can't wait now getting so excited, done loads of stuff lately and got six weeks hols coming up so hoping to nail most of it then x

I also received our FREE envelope seals today that have our names and date on from good ole pista vrint! They look brilliant! Only had to pay p&p

Mine is also 27th july 2012 in cyprus. Wedding package booked, night do booked, deposits all paid bridesmaid dress material bought, flower pot dress bought, paige boy outfit bought, jar of wishes bought, bridesmaids jewellery bought so well on way but still a long way to go xxx
