Of course it's nervy Jen but you could always make a nuisance of yourself and ring in a week to check on progress. Ask them to send you pics maybe? No I didn't bring my dress home. They steam it the day before so I can pick it up and take it straight to the venue. No chance of it getting spoiled or seen!

I'm getting married in 29 days and am so unorganised. Still no shoes for 5 bridesmaids, no veil, flowergirl dress, gifts and loads more sill needs sorting. Having a nightmare with people invited. We have had in total 9 rsvps back out Of all our guests coming and have to give final numbers on thursday. Also h2b had a bit of a row after his parents asked us to invite an aunt who we didn't want to saying she would say no anyway. She rang and said she would come but could she bring someone else instead of her husband as he doesn't get on with her sisters hubby. We again said yes of course. Nhe she has rang and told us she won't be coming and h2bs parents don't understand why we r mad as she never officially sent an RSVP they said. They r more concerned over how guests are getting from the church to reception and said we wouldn't be so stressed if we would have done what his brother did and let the hotel sort everything, it's our fault apparently for choosing to get married in a church instead of having it all in one place and it's a bit of a hassle for everyone! Families eh. Sorry about the rant ladies, just sort of all came out as no one else really listens and just roll thier eyes! hope it's going ok for everyone else!!

Oh Dee. Sounds like families! Have you rung round your guests yet? That would be the first thing I was doing. Leaving messages with an email address saying that if you don't have written confirmation you're not getting fed! Would you like to swap families? Mine are annoyed because we are not having a church and letting the hotel do it all!

I have left messages with everyone asking again but not had many replies. I just get annoyed hearing don't worry if they turn up, they turn up. Erm I don't think so. I'm not paying all that money for people incase they decide it's worth turning up to my wedding, most being close family!! I wish I had let everyone sort things for me really. I'm really fussy tho and after his brother let the hotel sort things like centrepieces and dj and photographer that all went wrong I would never risk it.

You don't really wish you had let others sort it. You know they would have got it wrong! I've allowed my mother a very small and select amount of jobs. In other words I don't care if and when she screws them up. She has single handedly, and by accident (I hope) managed to create a butterfly theme in our wedding.

Need your advice.....had my fitting which I knew needed taking in at the top (so my boobs arent on show to the taller guests!). On saturday, before getting to the shop I popped into the bridesmaid shop to see if they could do the alteration as they are a nicer shop. They couldn't get the back panel accross and said the dress was way too small for me! Nearly in tears.

Headed to actual arranged fitting, worried I wasnt going to fit (not put on any weight, have steadily lost it 1lb a week since christmas!)..Dress did up fine. They don't do up the back panel first, they lace it and bring it together. Has anyone else had this problem? The dress looks good when done up, but the ladies in the first shop said it would split apart during the night if its not done up.

I'm going back next saturday, but worried now that the dress wont do up on the day unless I can get my mum to do it like the ladies in the shop!! As she lives in france, the only thing I can think is to try it on on Thursday before the day and get her to check she can do it!

Does anyone else have problems with the back panel?

As far as I know this is normal. I get laced in first and then the back panel done up once the dress has been brought together enough. My dress shop taught my moh how to lace me in when I went for my fitting. can anyone go to the dress shop with you and have a lesson on how to do it?

So 33 days ...................... and I'm basically done. Just presents to get, final dress fitting and pay the venue a week before.

Done....Phew......Now trying not to stress with all the logistics of the week before, day before, day itself etc. But its ok, got my list of what needs to be done when and where so yeah......actually quite proud of myself lol.

Watch this space for some major rants if this calmness does not continue and it all goes belly up

Wow that is good going, well done!

I've got 19 days now and I've got a fair bit to do still, although the list has gone down quite a bit in a few days, and some I can't do until the week before when I'm going to stay at my sisters which is where I'm getting married from and where most of my wedding stuff is!

Most of the things left on the list now are jobs H2B decided were his! Things like the playlist for during the meal and for the disco and the table names. I've also bought all of the presents for the girls but he needs to choose presents for his best man and ushers! So it is a bit frustrating that I can't do much as he is working long hours this week, but we're both off again on Friday so hopefully we can get through the list then!

I can't believe how fast it is going now. This time in three weeks I'll be on honeymoon!!

I have started and finished all the name tags this week, only to find a typo! Little mad at myself, luckily it's only on one. Off to finalise cake design today. All the way to Haverhill from Hull!

Everyone keeps asking if I'm excited or nervous and to be honest, I'm neither. It's not that I am not excited about marrying h2b or having all my friends and family around for the day but I already feel married really and I'm just really calm. Does this mean a big freak out of emotions is on its way?! Anyone else keeping their head inspite of family and friends losing theirs?

    27 days to go !!!!!!!!!!!! OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!

I've still got loads to do.

Meeting with the caterer to finalise the numbers today, need to pick up the Order of Service, order the banners & balloons & put my rings in to be cleaned & re-sized. Also I never even thought of having a table plan done but now the family are starting to say where they want to sit & who with so I need to get one done so they dont have any say in it.

Need to get my garter & jewellery, sort out the flowers for the pews and have the wedding rehersal :-)

But ... I've got my graduation in 2 weeks as I finally got my Law degree :-D so hiring out my gown & paying for the photos has sort of left me skint @ the moment :-(

Fingers crossed I will have my final dress fitting also in 2 weeks.

I'm telling you girls, after this wedding I'm going to need this honeymoon just to relax hahaha

Kat, I feel like u I've been with my fella for nearly 8 years & it does sometimes feel like we are already a little married couple lol but god I hope that it doesnt mean that on the day we starting losing the plot & get all emotional haha!! I have told my fella though that if he doesnt cry when he sees me coming down the aisle I may need to kick him in the shin just so he cries lol x

Ha @ MrsL2Be - imagine that! First fight of married life lol.

Kat I feel exactly the same - I go through waves of giddiness and excitement but I just feel happy and that it's not really happening lol...I think after 10 years together, 8 living together, nearly 4 years engaged and planning a wedding for the last 2 years - it just seems to unreal that it's actually nearly here!

Met our photographer on Wednesday and he was really excited ha - which got me all giddy again! Plus another bonus is instead of finishing the week before the wedding, our head has booked inset days and we're now finishing on 13th July! So I'll have two weeks before the wedding - it's a god send as I'm so busy the week before I want some time to get my head around it all.

H2B is finishing off draft table plan and it looks brilliant - he's done such a fab job!

Hen and Stag do's are next weekend and we've got to start paying everyone now (boo).

Glad it's not only me. My family and friends all seem to be gong a bit crazy.

It's my hen this weekend so got a houseful of people of fri to prepare for this week before spending sat and sun in Leeds. I don't know how my bathroom is going to cope with us all on sat morning lol.

Left to pay we have the DJ and harpist on the day, half the BM dresses in a couple of weeks and the photographer when we have our meeting after he has got all the shots together. Oh and h2b needs a few more honeymoon clothes.

I'm half way through my table plan. I know who is on what table I just don't know who is sitting next to each other. Apart from that I think I'm all sorted.

12 days to go for us!! It is getting so close now!

Just a few things left to pay now, the florist (who I'm meeting on Saturday) and the chair covers (I'm still waiting for my final quote as I keep adding extra bits!), hair and makeup on the day and the church and organist which we'll pay at the rehearsal.

I fly back to England on Friday and I've made a to do list for each of the 8 days from Friday until the wedding! I was getting a bit stressed about how much we still couldn't do until I was in England, but actually now I've broken it down it is only 3 or 4 things per day which isn't nearly as bad as I thought!

I can't believe that I'll be on honeymoon this time in 2 weeks!

I hope everyone else's plans are going well.

    Sounds like fun Kat!

We leave for Spain on Sunday, everything is done now just have to pay up the photographer and pick up a few things for the cake and tables but otherwise everything is completely perfect!

Sitting at home in my pyjamas currently waiting for the madness to begin, everyone is arriving at midday so I have about four hours to myself which I intend to take advantage of. Really missing h2b was strange sleeping in our bed without him - can't believe we'll be married by the end of today, it's such a surreal feeling I'm not nervous yet... Few butterflies. Won't feel fully married until the 5th though as that's when we get all the real vows and full ceremony!

Hi ladies, currently recovering from my hen weekend - it was absolutely fantastic! I didn't stop laughing all weekend, EVERY part of it was brilliant and my sister and friends were excellent at keeping LOTS of secrets from me...including this one...ha ha - I was MORTIFIED!!!!

    100_5615.JPG
    100_5615.JPG

We did Grease dancing in the day which was so much fun... we all had t-shirts and I had to wear a veil ALL DAY!!!

Then back to the apartments for champagne, lunch, cocktails and naked waiters lol...my friends had organised a hilarious quiz which he asked the questions to and was more embarrased than me at some of the answers lol... We then got ready for the evening, went for a fabulous meal which they dressed me up for again ha and do you know what I loved EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of it!!!

You really don't realise how amazing your friends and family are until you see them all together for you...I was very emotional during most parts of the weekend and really didnt want it to end...I cannot wait for the wedding now!!!

H2B's stag do was a success too and we met the boys this morning and all had brunch together which was fantastic...they'd had a fun day too and all were feeling rather rough. We came home, had a McDonalds for tea and fell asleep on the couch.

It's funny, but this weekend just made me realise how much I truly love my H2B - especially after answering those questions lol...and giving away FAR more than I should have!!

I've not been online since Saturday as the internet has been broken, but now it is now 3 days to go for me! Still a fair few last minute things to do but we're on track! Had a slight problem with the make up as last weekend I heard a few bad reviews about the woman we were having so I ended up trying to find someone else at 1 weeks notice! Eventually got someone though, had a trial and I loved it. Much happier now!

I'm with you Jen, this weather better start bucking its ideas up ... even though they say it's lucky for it to rain on your big day I still wouldnt mind the sun to start cracking the flags lol

Last little things to pay off are the Church (which the rehearsal is next week so they want it then) & the cars which I'll also do next week.

Went for a facial yesterday & the girl said that even the muscles in my face were tense, I said I'd need about 10 facials just to relax :-D Family are starting to annoy the crap out of me now & I'm not exactly known for my patience when it comes to that department hahaha.

    OMG MrsL2Be - you're on DAYS!!!!!!

Lofty - huge congratulations for you today - and it's glorious sunshine here too so hopefully it is by you...

    Mrscarter2b - you're organised! I'm thinking of getting some big umberella's TBH.

Paid off balance for bridesmaid dress today and sorted out alterations - got to go next week for final fitting.

Still need to ring up and pay the final balance on the venue (will do that this week), my dress fitting on Wednesday (eek). Then we only need to pay final balance on flowers next week, photographer the week after and cake.

Everything is almost done with table plan - Si is working his magic on that and it looks brilliant. I'm going to sort out the place cards today, need to sort our music tonight and email list to DJ and I think that's all.

I'm having a BSN massage next Saturday as I'm on my mate's hen do and I cannot wait. Then me, mum and my sister have got a spa day booked for the Monday before the wedding and I'm having a full body scrub and a deluxe pedicure...cannot wait!! I have broken out in humungous spots though - really big, red, angry ones - have no idea what that's about!!

I'm getting a bit nervous now too - really don't want the day to go too fast but I know it will!

Just been looking at Umbrella's on ebay, think I may order one (just incase)!!

Jen - I know it sounds strange but I'm getting a little nervous aswel hahaha ... Everyone is drumming it into me just to relax on the day, dont be worrying about anyone else and above all just enjoy every minute because I'll regret it if I dont!!! lol

My fella & I were laughing because when we 1st booked the Church (3 yrs ago) we both thought that it would feel like a life-time til the actual day ... NOT ANYMORE :-D ... Even friends on FB are doing the countdown aswel lol

we've just got flowers and chair covers to pay for next weekend and the final balance at the venue. I'm having a nightmare with bloody guests and had to change the table plan again!! Oh and yesterday I lost a bridesmaid ... she threw a temper tantrum in the dress fitters saying the dress made her look fat and her bust was not supported. She bought a cheap strapless bra and could have worn clear straps. I was gob smacked and couldn't believe it. I just said she had two choices wear the dress or don't and just come as a guest and she chose the latter. Then to top it off she made me pay for the alterations on a dress she has no intention of wearing!!

    Oooh Kat - how exciting!!!

    Your hen do looks fab...

We've had a nightmare today - trying to persuade my non-dancing H2B to practise our first dance but he won't have any of it! He's flipping out that he can't and I'm criticising his moves (which I admit I was a little, without realising) - I went crawling back begging for another go to which he agreed and we spent 5 minutes shuffling around the living room - it was awful! Definately need more practise!!!

    Ahhhh it's getting closer!!

Ladies, this is why we are not practising and going for what will be will be. We both act like idiots most of the time anyway so improvising for our first dance will be less stressful than the practising! And thanks I had an amazing weekend.

Bridesmaid dresses are sorted now, just got to wait for the alterations to be finished. Everything is paid except the DJ and harpist. Last thing to sort is I have to make the table plan. I've designed it, just got to print, cut and stick.

Kat I'm with you on the 1st dance ... My H2B always does the 2 step shuffle whenever we are out lol so for this dance I couldnt even attempt to try & teach him without some (alot of) yelling hahaha.

Kat - Glad you got everything sorted out with the dresses!! and your hen night looked really good, glad you enjoyed it!!

Going for another facial this Fri & I think I may have even converted my H2B to try one, I gave him a little 5 min facial last night (I was bored lol) & I swear to go I caught him looking at himself in the mirror - smiling hahaha - MEN :-D

Tomorrow we are going to see the wedding co-ordinator at the town hall registry office at 2.00pm, if I learn anything of interest I'll let you all know x

Omg I feel REALLY nervous today!!!

Finished all our place cards for the tables tonight and they look amazing if I do say so myself...

Just had an email from our DJ saying he's in hospital and can't do our wedding!!!!!! BUT the owner of the company is doing it instead and he "should have contacted us but it's all sorted so don't worry" - now I can't STOP worrying as the owner has not contacted us...Si said it'll be fine and not to worry about it but my stomach has suddenly started to flip!!

I can't believe how close we all are!!! I can't wait to finish school on Friday although I'll still have to go in next week to sort my room out at least I can relax lol (well that's the idea).

Can't remember if I've already mentioned this but it's my mates hen do this weekend at a spa so I've booked a BSN massage and I am going to take FULL advantage of the spa facilities lol...need to destress!!!

Only days away now!!!! I made the mistake last saturday saying 'everything is going sooo smoothly' to then get a phone call no more than 30 secs later from the jewellery shop to say they had LOST my wedding rings, my handmade wedding rings which I had been waiting months for. They followed this up with 'dont panic we still have two months' and I was like ' more like two weeks!!!' My h2b went in there yesterday and they had found them....phew!!! They asked if we wanted to wait another day so they could re-polish them. I said no, I will do it myself .......just in case lol
Had my hen do on Saturday that was a laugh and half lol last week of work this week before breaking up. You know when you were at school and it was the week before summer holidays and you didnt feel like doing anything.......thats how I am at work.......people are saying 'how long for my prescription' i reply 'ooooohhhhhhh do i have to do it' lol not really but i am getting abit tired of work now just wanna finish on friday so i can put full concentration into my big day lol .......better go get ready for work lol
