Hey girlies! I fell very disorganised now. We are getting married on the 23rd July and so far have only paid for the venue! Have been dress shopping once but didn't find much and 'may' have chosen our colours/theme as long as H2B agrees and I don't change my mind!! Our venue is on the Isle of Wight so we are a bit limited on suppliers which means we should really get a move on, but I can't decide on anything! lol. x

Think we are going for lots of white and a little bit of light blue, with a 'secret garden' theme. The venue we have booked is a country house on the Isle of Wight (pics on my profile) but each room has different colours! The restaurant where we will have our wedding breakfast is green...very green lol so I thought I would use alot of white to tone it down. Can't imagine it coming together yet though.

Wow is that all? I guess we had better get a move on :-) I think we will be planning a lot of the stuff this month as Colin is off work and back home until January! Plus my Nan is over from Spian so hopefully I'll choose my dress. Thanks for the comments on the venue. It's really not what I thought I would go for but there isn't much choice on the Isle of Wight and it is the lovliest place here. Just got to learn to use my imagination and not go too over the top.lol.
im getting married on 30/7/11 and feel very dis-organised now after reading all your posts!! so far this is what we have done: got my dress, veil, tiara and shows ordered 2 bridesmaid dresses (got flower girl to order nearer time) chosen food booked registra paid deposit on venue sent save the dates (and keep getting asked "what save the date?") got both wedding rings.
Better get a move on i think!! xx

we havn't done insurance, have been debating for ages whether to do it or not ( i know you should). I was hoping everything would be done by christmas but it hasnt happened!! just worrying about being able to afford it at the moment!! xx

I got wedding insurance for like £20, which seemed like a bargain compared to how much money would be thrown into the wedding. Even the most expensive I saw was only £60.

I'm worrying about that too, as when we started planning we were budgeting for 2 wages, but since being made redundant I've not been able to get a job. Definitely get insurance! Do it asap!! :-) x

£20 is a good price isnt it!! will have to do it i think just incase something goes wrong (hope to god it doesnt!) I know how u feel i lost my job a year ago but luckily have got another one now. just keep your fingers crossed. luckily we have 2 incomes but at the end of the month we dont have a lot of money left!

we got insurance and it is definately a relief knowing we have it to fall back on! MrsBarkertobe, you are organised! I am also getting married on the 30th and our done list is roughly the same as yours, my to-do list seems to be growing constantly! When do you plan to send invites out? xx

we havnt even ordered our invited yet. ive just started to look at invites. i know what i want but not very creative when it comes to making them myself!! I think we are going to send the invites out about 2/3 months before the wedding. how about you? just seems that everything else we have to do is the expensive things!! xx

yeah...money just disappears! i have made my invites (pic on profile) and i am planning on sending them in Feb, really early but I have given them till end of April to reply and this then gives me a half term to make the place cards etc. Fitting it all around term times as I am a teacher. Plus it means things can be paid off sooner and the final total can be cleared before the wedding. xx

im trying to do bits at a time aswell. choosing flowers and table decorations in the new year. luckily my mum is helping with the cost otherwise would never afford to get married. time is moving so quickly keep thinking going to run out of time!! xx
