    Hi Ladies

My OH and I have started looking at rings, I've decided I definitely want a one to fit around my engagement ring (it is 3 round diamonds in a row). I'm not sure where to start though.

I have considered one of those companies that visit your home but concerned that they will try to do a 'hard sell'. I know that would annoy OH, I would prefer to get maybe two of these companies out and then compare what they have to offer and take it from there. Has anybody bourght their rings from one of these companies?

The other option is the jewellery qtr but thats a 3hr drive for us so by the time you put the cost of petrol etc onto it I thought we wouldn't actually save any money at all

There is a very good company that come out to you that I think already advertise on here. Begins with S and ends in ch, like a kiss. I got my rings from them and was very happy with the service. They don't do hard sell.

I met the company you are talking about yesterday at a wedding fayre and arranged for a meeting in October so i can let you know how it goes and their sales technique. If your talking about the jewlerry quarter near me (Birmingham) then apparently it is also good, my friend got her rings from there and loads of choice and helpful shops so worth going too. We are going to do both and then plenty of options and can look at price, quality, service, etc and decide who we want to go with as shop around about. Why not make a day of it and do some christmas shopping or lunch so it doesnt seem such a long drive? xxx

Both I think have very good reviews so I think it deends on the ring you fall in love with!
Do both have them out and go to the jewellery quarter and see what you find then compare prices to your budget

Mine and the H2B rings are being made by the ring company of the perfect variaty *wink, wink* - hope that is a good enough clue to guess the name. - they also have a voucher offer at the moment - something like £75 off each ring.

They too like the one already mentioned come to your home - the lady that came and spoke with us did not hard sell at all to us - she knew her stuff about ring styles as well as materials etc etc.

We had home visits from both of the companies listed above already! the perfect one we found abit full on - she was dead against H2B having titanium and gave him a big lecture about how dangerous it can be because its such a hard metal. We went with the other company beginning with S. Had a lovely lady prob 4 months ago now. She was at a wedding fair i went to last week and remembered who we were and what rings we had chosen! Were very impressed with her xx

Thanks ladies, I wasn't sure if all jewellers were able to make rings to fit around your engagement ring (i've set my heart on that now) so will have a look at both options xx

We bought ours from the kissing company. I thought the sales advisor would be really pushy but he was the total opposite.
I had to have my ring made around my engagement ring and had gone to H Sam... Prior to the kissing company's home visit. H Sam...s had designed an image of how they would fit the wedding ring around the engagement ring. I absolutely loved the design and give it to the kissing company who have created an amazing ring at a really good price. Over a £100 cheaper the the high street store!
For me, if I handn't have known exactly what I wanted then I wouldn't have liked the sales advisor's ladies collection!
My H2B is also very pleased with his ring.
